Comfort notwithstanding, like any mid-engined vehicle, driving an AW-11 fast requires an athleticism, and a level of situational awareness, constantly altering driving position in the lower gears, with stoicism higher up the gearbox. Unacceptable femur rating, many having crashed MR2s lost one or both lower appendages. A short wheel-based vehicle, the most critical shift, driving this car, 5th to 4th, requires a delicacy, certain parts of your body you need to put to sleep. Next up on the agenda, that steering wheel goes to Texas for restoration, along with the boot and shift knob. But, I never send parts for restoration, unless I have a replacement component, in-hand. So, I've got to source an OEM boot and an OEM stick shift knob --
