Does it handle better? Stop better? Better mileage? How about ride? More harsh? Can you clear speed bumps?
Yes, flatter through corners, no nose dive on braking, Mileage I don't know yet. I say it rides better than stock and yes I clear speed bumps fine.
I think it looks cool, nice mod! But I'm interested in doing the opposite actually. An extra inch or so of ground clearance would be nice. My driveway slopes up steeply before leveling off into the garage. When full of passengers we actually high center and scrape a little. Can't be good. Anyone ever heard of raising the ride height? - D
You could get the rear springs made for PHEV conversions to raise the back end up. Should then act like you have 200 less pounds in the rear of the car.
Clever idea! Funny tho, it gave me a mental image of a Prius dragster, big wheels in back, tiny ones up front, steep downward raked stance...
It's been 10 years or so since I bought my parts through Stillen. I'm pretty sure Andrew was the one I spoke with back then. If this is anything like the Eibach progressive rate springs on my 240SX then it won't lower the ride (at least not much) which is a plus in my book. The unexpected thing I noticed on the 240 was that the stiffer springs made it less susceptible to dragging/rubbing in front/rear on dips/driveways because there was less suspension travel on inclines. Did this conversion include new shocks/struts? If so, who made those? One of the things that Stillen warned about when I did the 240 was that the stock shocks/struts would not survive long with the new springs. So I upgraded both at the same time. (It's not like doing the shocks/struts added any installation cost.)
Yes, I did new KYB's on all four corners. I haven't noticied and significant dragging or rubbing. The drop for the front is 1.4" and the rear is 1". Eventually when the tires wear out, I'm gonna do some 17" wheels......
That will look nice. My car has custom wheels on it, previous owner's choice, but still at 15" - makes me wonder why they bothered!

Since I had no clue what a eibach was, I had to go back and forth a lot to find the difference.. looking at wheels, body bits etc... I guess I just don't notice height so much.
