While there are lots of Gen 3 Priuses on the street in Seattle, today I saw the first one as a taxi in downtown Seattle. I think it was Farwest taxi painted all green.
While in Indianapolis a couple weeks ago, I spotted a 2010 Rental car in an ACME or ACE rental lot (off airport) two weeks in a row (meaning it was theirs and not a customer just parking it). I'd say this must imply there's enough supply to satisfy fleet orders and still keep Prius on the dealer lots (there were 10-12 at my servicing dealer, all at MSRP as of last week, some II's, IV's - one with solar, and a few V's - one with AT). I wonder if the fleet buyers are paying extra for BP because it's "white" and panting over it, or if they're getting plain old Super White?
We have green gen. II Prius taxis in my town all painted green. It says on them "greener cabs for bluer skies".
Saw my first Gen 3 Taxi in San Francisco over the weekend. It was a GreenCab taxi and painted green & white.
I flew in to San Jose last week and found that there is a large fleet of Gen II Prii as taxis in Silicon Valley that I had been completely unaware of. Had a pleasant conversation with the driver about his experience as he drove me to where my Gen III was parked. He said his taxi was two years old.

And I just got a ride in a Camry Hybrid taxi in Brooklyn two weeks ago! The driver said he loves it and, in fact, drives a Prius when he's not working.
