Does Toyota provide a free rental car if i have to have my car fixed? I read everything and maybe i missed it but i don't remember reading about their rental car policey.
Toyota does not provide a courtesy car, but maybe your dealer does. I think it would also depend on what type of work may be performed on the car. If say a vehicle has something like a major recall on a transmission, it would only be right to give you a courtesy car if it takes them a week to make the repairs. Usually it is your insurance company that provides a certain amount on money for a rental car per day. And that is if you have that option on your particular policy.
Ok someone told me they don't offer free rental cars, i guess they were right. just something i need to think about when i go on a 2,000 mile trip later this year. I have allstate ins. and do have rental car added to it, but it looks like it only covers it if i'm in a accident, not if the car breaks down.
I don't think you'll have to worry about the car breaking down, yes, they're just that reliable. My friend has a 2004 with 150,000 miles and never had a single problem with it. He just performs all the routine maintenance on it.
If you knew my luck you would understand why i am trying to be prepared. i just need to plan so if worst comes to worst i can get a rental car to drive 1,000 miles so i can work then bring it back to get my car back. i can't loose my job. My last car had over 10,000 dollars or work done to it before 60,000 miles. i have really bad luck.
I'm just waiting for the day when the car rental companies start using the same pricing policies as airline companies. The car is only $17.95 /day for unlimited mileage. You want a key to operate that car? Well that is an additional $14.95/day. What, you want wheels on that car, well that will be an additional $3.99 per wheel (not including tires). There will be an additional tire charge of 4 cents per mile / tire (not including spare, if you want that option). If you bring the car back with a partially filled gas tank, there will be a surcharge of $7.99 for filling the tank, not including $4.99/gallon for the gas. By the way, the fuel tank has a locking gas cap. We will rent you the gas cap key for an additional $7.99/day. What, you want seats in that car? Well that will be $2.99/seat (min. of 4 required). Have a nice day...... :focus: Keith
..but you did buy a chevy... what's the difference? Your "luck" should turn from bad to great now with a toyota
