:bored: Daylight Saving started in South Australia today. Isn't it amazing how you can just lose an hour.
I used to think that Daylight Savings was like putting time into a savings account in the spring and withdrawing it in the fall. A shame that we don't get to collect interest on it. Now I realize that with the seasons reversed between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, we just send that hour to you guys and then you send it back when you're done with it. We'll take good care of it for you (once we get it - it seems to get delayed at the U.S. border nowadays) and return it early next year.
Lately, I've grown fond of slicing my donuts into little slices (about 25 slices per donut) before eating them. I think that eating little slices of donut is more enjoyable than the usual method of just biting into a donut. It's a slower, almost sensuous experience. And I think the donut actually tastes better this way. Here's a pic of this morning's donut: [IMGLINK]http://priuschat.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=19347&d=1255291039[/IMGLINK] Delicious. TIP: Freeze or refrigerate the donut before slicing. A cold donut is firmer and easier to slice.
Yes, it's an Entenmann's Dark Chocolate Frosted Donut. Whoopie Goldberg says it's her favorite Entenmann's product.
Reminds me of the Seinfeld where George ate his Snickers with a fork and knife (I think). I honestly don't remember, I think I have now passed the age where all the TV I have watched has congealed into a mass in my brain.
Here in the Northeast, the ladybugs came out en masse a couple of days ago. There are ladybugs everywhere. Supposedly, this happens once a year around this time. But this is the first year I've ever noticed.
Tom....they're so cute!!! But, I can only imagine it must be annoying. We get "love bugs" (yeah, you got the picture right!!) twice a year here...spring and fall. They love light colors so if you're wearing white, or driving a white car (like me) they will commit suicide on the bumper of your car. They are totally harmless, have no enemies and no use that we can find. But they are gross to wash off your windshield and bumper if you are in a rural area where they are especially heavy....
On Monday I'm going to KFC to get my free piece of grilled chicken. This is the third time KFC is giving out free grilled chicken. But this time, no coupon will be necessary. And KFC is promising that this give away will go more smoothly than the previous two because this time they've arranged for appropriate levels of staff and chicken to be on hand.
So true. But you know what it tastes like? Tastes like chicken. Here's the "before" shot of my free piece: I also have an "after" shot. But I'm running out of space on my precious PriusChat Photos allocation.
Did you call for the chance to win $1000? Wouldn't that be a great deal, free food and free money too?
Tom.....how was the chicken anyway?? Was it worth the effort of going there??? I'm always hesitant.......
It was OK. But IMO the version KFC had 10 to 20 years ago was better. No problem at all going there ... two crosstown blocks from my apartment ... it was along the way to the liquor store. BTW, the roast chicken they have in Provence, France is unbelievably delicious. Easily the best grilled or roast chicken I've ever had.
