Oil filter socket / help

    A while back someone had a post where you could buy on e-bay a 64 mm X 14 flute socket to remove the 2010 Prius oil filter. I believe the price was 7.97 plus shipping.

    The 65 MM is a pain in the butt to use.

    Does anyone recall that post / link to Ebay.

    I checked ebay and could not locate that filter for that price. Plenty of others for twice as much.

    But I like your wrench waaaaay better than the one I got. Sure mine was cheaper, BUT yours has that nice square in the center where you can use a 3/8 socket extension. Mine has a round hole, forcing me to use either a 24mm socket or, I'm hoping, an adjustable wrench. I haven't used it yet so I'll see if a 10" Crescent will work or not.

    i paid $6.75 last month for the e-bay 64mm wrench. price is now $17.25. i am unable to post URL. seller is rooprict on ebay motors. have not used it yet but it appears very solid. Toyota Oil Filter Wrench Socket Tool Tundra Prius Yaris

    Yes used a standard 3/8" socket wrench ..... nice - fit, with no slop

    There are a couple of draining slots as you loosen the cartridge holder. Drains easily into your catch container.
