No remorse here. It has some annoying things but overall I am very happy with the car so far. All of the complaints have been detailed here on these threads so I won't mention any of them.

I did ask the sales guy the same question - if the hybrid battery completely fails, can it be driven on the ICE only and he had to check with someone else and they came back and said it would not be drivable if the battery failed.

Will your current car drive with half the transmission removed?
    No?
Strangely enough that applies to Prius too.

Wished I'd gotten the one with radar cruise control, lane following, and accident avoidance ... but I didn't want navigation, leather seats and super-duper sound system. <YECH>

FYI, I saw some Prius on Saturday that got the port of entry 'glass tinting' ... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!! I live in Dixie, not a desert.

I am 6'5" and fit well in my Prius. Not as much room as my last car (2003 Element) but there are few cars that would.

Now there's a testimonial that will not be making it into a Prius ad. :D

Great gas mileage; nice looking; good handling(with replacement tires/wheels); good ride; ultra low emissions; historically reliable; fun to drive; distinctive; and so on.

I might have buyer's remorse. Not about buying a PRIUS. Great car.

I'm beginning to think that the benefits of the IV are not worth the cost over the III. I have the NAV package for the rear camera. The water-resistant side windows, homelink rear-view mirror (I live in a condo but went with it anyway), leather seat upgrades (I haven't had to use the seat heaters yet, but I sit on a wedge so that will have less benefit) and plasmacluster are nice, but I think the III might be a better cost-benefit option. Like some others I've never had even a mid-size car before so I wanted a lot of goodies.

Part of my problem is not finding the right seat settings yet (10 weeks), wondering if the regular seats would be any better.

I have buyers remorse. gen III w/ 5k miles. interior squeaks and rattles. poor craftsmanship, cheap lightweight plastics. never owned a new car that is this loose. would sell car tomorrow but have 4 year lease. many comments on this site about rattles and noises from dash, etc. no Toyota quality here...

ya know i kinda am having buyers remorse as well, but kinda in reverse. the sunroof is cool, but the more i think about it, the more i wish i had sprung for the V instead. with the PPP discount and sales tax waiver, it would have still been under $30,000 or so. having the LKA Radar CC, etc... *sigh*

the coolness of the sunroof only lasted a few weeks at work, but the LKA!! man i just know i could have kept "ohhing an ahhing" for at least a few months!!

No remorse. Would buy again in a second. Only semi-regret is that my Prius II FM radio reception and speakers are very disappointing. Most fun car I have had. My wife and I fight over who gets to drive it. Not a problem for tall drivers, I don't think- plenty adjustments. The feedback teaches you to drive conservatively to maximize mileage, without real sacrifice in comfort or time. Real mileage calculated by miles / gallons fill-up is 1-3 mpg less than the "CONS" mileage for entire tank, but still ~ 50 mpg if drive conservatively, Love the AC working with engine off, in daily Miami rush hour. Very refined car. Based on 2 months, 2500 miles.

So far, NO and NO and NO. Had a Prius 2006 GII for four wonderful years of ownership. The Prius 2010 GIII V is similar. However, after a couple of months with it, I'd have to give the Prius team some credit. They have truly improved on the older model. If the Prius team keeps this up, I'll truly be a Prius driver for life. Amen.:)

    Absolutely not !!!
When i was a kid, i was day-dreaming about the years 2000. I was seeing marvelous cars running on electricity and making soft continuous electric sounds. :)
I spent most of my adult years being desapointed about the fact that i was getting in my car and having to use a metal key to be turned in a barrel-lock, to ultimately hear a kind of gna-gna-gna-vroom sound.
Now the year 2000 of my childhood finely made it to my drive way. Thanks to Prius conceptors.

To quote an old Edith Piaf song, "Je ne regrette rien". I love my Prius IV with solar roof.

If you had purchased the V, what options would you have bought with it?

I would have loved to have all the cool features of the V with ATP, but I am still happy I got the IV with solar roof. It's not JUST a sunroof (which I wanted anyway), it's a SOLAR roof. It looks incredibly neat when open, and just the idea of having the solar panels....

Yes, I would have liked to have both (especially the dynamic cruise control and lane keep assist)-- but if I could have had the V with ATP plus solar I probably would have felt it to be too expensive. Since I had to choose between the two, I immediately went for the solar roof. It's a far more visible feature, if nothing else.

My only regret is that I settled for the Winter Grey, which was my third choice, instead of my first or second choices, Blizzard Pearl or Blue Ribbon. Don't get me wrong, I think the Winter Grey is a beautiful and very classy color, but the Blizzard Pearl and Blue Ribbon are so much more head-turning. Also, the dark grey shows dirt almost as badly as black.

I do - I wish I had done this when the CFC program started instead of the end - then I wouldn't have ended up with Misty Gray - of course, I'm putting in darker leather, but wish the carpets were a tad darker.

I also would've probably saved $500 in gas alone...

We just got our Prius 2 weeks ago and I have to say I’m very satisfied with it. My wife is still a bit uncomfortable driving the car, still seems a bit weird to her, no key, electric motors, etc.. but she will be over all that in a few more weeks. We are on our second tank and averaging 53 MPGs so I love that, especially as I traded in a RAM 1500 4X4 at 15 MPG. The only thing I could say is for the money the interior could have been appointed a little better, seems on the cheap side but it’ll be fine. We really didn’t want the solar roof (my wife didn’t, I did) but the only one they had in our color had it. In the end I talked them into them discounting the cost of the package by ½ and I think here in Florida it has some value.

Well... ask Indyking about buyer's remorse... he will not admit it because he still have to drive the car and who knows for how long, but he will give you more than a handful of reasons why it was just a very bad choice...
