    Hello,

I got great responses to my other thread easing my fears on buying a gen III. Thanks everyone! Now my question is, would you buy a used package IVw/nav with 2800 miles for 24,500?

As long as it was not in a accident. i paid almost 23 for a package II so it seems like a good deal to me.

Echo previous poster. Yes, as long as no accident. Isn't a base pckg IV around $26.5k? Plus nav puts it close to $29k?

What's the KBB value? And what's wrong with it? I'm suspicious of new "used" cars. Some of them have had enough problems the new proud owner dumped them.
You can't trust what the dealer will tell you either. I almost bought a used 08 Gen II form a local dealer that swore they took it in on trade. Carfax said it was sold at auction and it had been a "fleet" car in Orlando.
Find out for sure of the history and if KBB backs up the price, I'd buy it in a second if it was what I was looking for.

KBB does not have 2010 values.

Sometimes people get rid of their new used vehicles because it's not what they thought it would be, was in an accident, or has had a series of major mechanical problems. But another, and perhaps more probable reason given the economy...the person selling may have lost their job...or their wife lost thir job...or they have other more pressing expenses they have to deal with (such as medical), that take top priority over new car payments.

Baring accident/mechanical issues, the car sounds like a very good deal.

In a heartbeat if there was nothing wrong with it. Pay to have an independent mechanic familiar with Priuses go over it with a fine-tooth comb and if he/she gives it a thumbs up then go for it. (If it's from a dealer then make sure they give you a full warrantee.)
