I've got a Prius 2 with sks entry on the driver's door. Now that I've been driving it for a while, I wish I had sks entry all the way around (like they do on the higher trim models). Is it possible to add sensors on the passenger door and hatchback? Any idea what it would cost?

Wow - what a cool feature! Didn't know that if the doors are locked, I don't need to unlock with the remote - just lift the handle  Very nice touch! I wonder - if this isn't programming...

Actually, you just need to touch the back of the handle. And to the OP, it's not currently possible to add this feature to any of the other doors (without figuring out how to transfer the necessary parts out of another car).

Finally, you can find a long discussion on this topic here:

    Plus another one here:

(I'm pretty sure there are more if you dig around.)

    lol!

The problem is the SKS sensor for lower trim models is only in the left door area (and center console.) You'd need SKS sensors in the rear hatch and passenger side to make it work for all doors.

(rrolf - at night when you walk up to the car the lights should start to turn on before you even grab the door handle!)

Not just programming. To lower costs, the single door SKS models lack the additional sensors.

Hrmmm - I keep learning about all these features  Someday, maybe i'll RTFM  Guess I'm not *that* observant - but I'll make sure I check it out 2night.

This thread does seem to be the closest team working on it...
Any way to add SKS to the hatch on a II?

So it's likely some kind of hardware and software combo...

Just to clarify, I've got a 2010 Prius Gen 3, Trim level 2.
