I have 6k miles on my Prius. In the past my car his presented this symptom sporadically. Once in a while when turning the car on and during the time the PRIUS logo is on the screen I would hear a neon buzzing sound. The sound would go away as soon as the PRIUS logo cleared off the screen.

Here is where it gets interesting: Today we had our first day below 70^F my TPMS light came on so I reset it and checked the tire pressure which showed was 27psi. I drove 24 miles home and inflated the tires to 36psi. Since then EVERY time I turn the car on, I have heard that same noise. It still is only present during the "boot" process.

At least now that it's consistent I can get it diagnosed fixed.

Has anyone else seen this happen?
What are your thoughts regarding the tire pressure, coincidence?

coincidence I would say. I have heard the noise too. I am getting real good at tuning out all the noises in the car. I would hurry myself to the grave if I didn't.

Nothing to do with tire pressure, but there is one other post about the display buzzing. In that post the poster said the buzzing was always present, but louder the more the display, displayed. I assume the Prius logo is the brightest and has the highest percentage of the display. I have a theory and if I'm right it will either not make a noise or be significantly quieter if the display is dimmed, like it is when the headlights are on.

I found that post but I think it's a different issue. Mine does it only during boot. Whether headlights are on or not, also does it if I'm only going into "on" mode (no foot on break.) It's very loud, not something you have to listen for.
Unfortunately this morning and all of today, I could not replicate it again. but it did it last night 4 times in a row.. odd.
