    Like eaglesight said, find yourself a good Osteopath.

    If you didn't know, the 2010 doesn't come with center caps (there are a number of posts about this) which you would likely want if you decided not to leave on the plastic wheel covers. Salvaging them from your wreck would save you about $50.

    I honestly wanted to salvage/sell the battery but I was told everything attached to the car is now property of my insurance company.

    Thanks again for the well wishes, everyone! My follow-up appt with the doctor is this afternoon. Cross our fingers for more "contusion" news. I really don't need any blown tendons in my hands and gosh only knows what the awful pains in my neck and back are!

    My insurance company just called to inform me my 2008 is officially a total loss. :( :(

    Sorry about the wreck, hopefully the whole thing will turn into a blessing.
    I do like my Gen III more and there is plenty of power to spare... so much so that I run my in eco mode all the time and don't notice the difference.. .although I think it takes a bit more petal to get things moving when in eco mode verses the GenII.

    If you leave Eco off, you will be pleased at the difference and you will see that power mode is totally unnecessary unless you are just trying to have fun.

    My main gripe with my gen II (RIP) was the highway power. From what I've read so far, the highway power is the biggest upgrade. Is this about right?

    Also, do we still block the grill in the same way once the weather gets cold? tire pressure still 42/40?

    I had no issue with the highway power in my Gen2, but I do believe the 2010 is a bit better on this count. You are running at lower RPMs, so you'll definitely see better MPGs on the highway.

    I have the Prius V, so I notice significantly more stability on the highway.

    I don't know about grill blocking. I was a big proponent of it in the Gen2, but I am not planning on grill blocking until we have temp measurements across the board.

    Tire pressure? For the 15s, I think many people have been satisfied with 42/40. I have the 17s, and I've run them anywhere from 38 up to near 50 (51 is the sidwall max cold pressure). For the time being, I'm running more about 46.

    The extra power is definitely notable at non highway speeds too "if thats what your mean".

    The air intake is much smaller now and the water for engine coolant is piped back to the catalytic converter for fast warm-ups now and cycled back... "not sure if that cycle is stopped in normal driving or not".

    So I doubt anyone would see the need to block the air intake anymore.

    I don't recall anyone blocked the air intake, Alan! :D

    Still, I don't know whether the grill blocking will be necessary except during the coldest parts of northern winters. In any event, we'll need to wait on those who will be measuring radiator and inverter temps as the ambient temperatures drop.

    Picky, Picky, Picky!!!..... you know.. the air intake!.. where the air comes in!.....

    Anyway....if the car engages the recirc loop continously "which I doubt" or only when it senses the car is not warm enough, I would think that would suffice more than enough.

    The question is "does it only do it on startup?", or will it also utilize that feature when it senses the car needs a bit of warming to prevent the ICE running to do all the work?

    I just imagine it engages "anytime" the ICE needs to come on simply to warm the car.. but I'm only guessing here.

    But at least I know where the air comes in! :p
