I noticed that something scratched up the rear passenger side. Probably a door of a tall SUV. Two big scratches and one faint one in the same area. So I am going to have to get some touch up paint. Not even three weeks old. Or I wonder if it was the garbage men.

So I cried over my Prius today. Poor little baby.

Drove down 5th Avenue in NYC with the solar roof open on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. (Yesterday, actually)

Gave my daughter and her friend a ride to band practice. Their family will buy nothing but Detroit products. My daughter's friend commented on how quiet the car was.

My wife took the day off today, so I asked her to take my car to the dealer to have the illuminated door sills installed (not having much time and not being very electrically knowledged, I would rather pay someone to get it done)... They do make quite a difference. Gotta love 'em.

Got my wife's hair dryer and removed the dealership's sticker from the back. They are not paying me money to advertise, so why do they even stick them on my car.

After peeling them off, I cleaned the surface with WD-40. Back end looks much better now. :)

Just for "fun," took her up to the ski area and turned around at the turnoff back to the office (lunch hour trip). On the way back, got 99.9 + mpg for over 26 miles at average speed of 57 mph. Used battery wisely and only got 2 full "cars" on the downhill run!
Only time I've really wished I had a Scangauge to see how much fuel I really consumed on the trip back. Pretty drive, aspen were just starting to change. Huge white, puffy clouds against impossibly blue sky! Man, can this car coast! Oh, on way up only got 42 mpg! (only, LOL!)

++++1. I don't know why this is such a huge pet peeve of mine but I just think it is so rude of the dealerships to do this! I told them I would not take delivery if they put any advertising on my car! The Subaru we have as our other car the dealership actually put a license plate frame with the name of the dealership screwed into the front bumper in a state where a front plate is not required! If not for my wife's pleading, I would have told them to screw off and not got that car from them. I told them ahead of time not to do this and they did it anyway and then said oopps, sorry. I was infuriated that there were now two screw holes in my front bumper. Oh well!

Before they could attached their license plate frame on my car, I replaced it with a CF frame from JDP Engineering. Will post a photo later. No front plate frame for me. :)

Yesterday, I washed (with Dawn), clayed, and installed my clearbra. Today, I washed (with Zaino's), polished (Zaino's Z-5) and glossed. It's sooooo pretty and shiny...

After heating the stickers, what did you use to peel them off? I have inspection stickers from PA (where the car was purchased) that are not required in OH (two of them...grrrr...right down in the lowest part of the windshield).

Today, I changed out the reverse lights for brighter bluer ones. Then I changed out the rear turn lights with the silver ones. I looked over what I was going to have to do in order to change the turn lights and fog lights.. high beams.. OH and I cleaned her out completely inside! I spent hours.

I didn't let my husband drive it today because he comes home with a drop in mpg of 1+. I drove when we ran errands and got most of it back. The display now says 59.5 and I'd love to see 60 before the cold weather sets in. We'll calc the real mpg when we fill up next month. :) (300+ miles and we're at half a tank, nice!)
