Wow man, you are serious about modding your car. How about the HUD system since you already have the controller? http://www.defi-shop.com/product/concept/concept_top.html
OK guys... here are the answers to all your questions....! Q: How much was it and was it difficult to install? A: The Defi individual meters can be found here:- Defi Meters Defi - Link Meter - ADVANCE CR - 60mm - Nengun Performance I have installed the meters for i)Oil Pressure, ii)Water Temp and Oil Temp. You also need to get the separate Advance Control Unit to get the whole system to work: Advance CR Control Unit Defi - Link Meter - ADVANCE Control Unit - Nengun Performance The installation was relatively simple. You just had to measure well before any cutting of the dash. I saw the installers use a drill with a large circular bit to create the perfect cut-outs. You also had to install the oil sensor and water temp. sensors. Wiring guy didn't have to do too much, although you would have to know which wires to connect etc. and a sample of the meters in action.... :
Hey a_gray_prius! No... i feel the HUD system is old school (yes, i know the Gen III has it)... i really don't need it because i can clearly read the speedo when i am driving.... what i need is a GOOD TACHO!.... like the Apexi RSM! also the "HUD look" is not what I am going for.... Also, the Defi 2009 Advance CR unit is not compatible with the Defi HUD 2007 models. You will need to older 2007 control unit which is out-dated anyways....
