I was more than impressed when I drove the all-new third gen Prius several months ahead of its launch. The 2010 edition felt all grown up, bigger and more substantial than its predecessor, more like...a real car... plus my wife and daughter thought the new Prius looks cool...

I opted for the base Prius II-cloth interior, no extras except for optional handsfree Blutooth. Wife and daughter-the car's prime users-are thrilled with it. Of course you're asking, why Prius? Well for one thing, price. I paid just over $23,000. For a car that gets 50 mpg.

...It's perhaps the most advanced production vehicle on the road today, a real George Jetson-mobile. Which is why, even when I've signed out a hot test car for the night, I often board the 21st-century Prius to run a few quick errands. Watching the energy display, feeling the various hybrid systems at work-it's magic..."
