Before I left the dealership, I got my iPhone configured to work via bluetooth, and also configured the streaming music via bluetooth. I made a few calls with the hands free, so I know the phone works through the car. On the way home, while I was streaming music, a call came in, but it did not go through the car (the streaming music kept playing without interruption). Is there a way for the incoming call to "trump" the streaming audio, or will the hands free phone only work if I am not streaming music? Thanks in advance.
I can't answer your question, I don't have a phone connected to the car yet. But I think the best place to ask would be the Gen III Audio and Electronics Forum. Try a search there or just start a topic in that forum if you don't find the answer.
Here is my experience, as I paired both my iPod and my cell phone. If a call comes in, I have to hit "info/phone". It gives me a choice to halt my music and take a call. I have also found that the microphone in the car is not as sensitive as the one in my headset, so I have given up on pairing my phone and just gone with my headset. Not to mention that I typically have my children with me and they don't need to hear both sides of my buisness calls. I hope this was helpful.
I'm also a newbie with the same configuration you have. I had this happen to me once as well. I got flustered and tried to answer the call on the iPhone, which resulted in the call coming through the car. When I first connected the iPhone I just set up the phone portion. After I did the music part, when I went to make a call the display screen said this was not my primary bluetooth partner, did I want to set it to be primary which I did. Not much for clarification, but maybe this will help.
