Making fun at the Volt 230MPG.

    I'm wanting to go to some car shows before it gets to cold and I want to make another display showing off my awesome 299MPG tank. I thought the best way I can do that and try to impress people was to copy and modify the Volt advertising campaign. I came up with two ideas. Which one do you think I should use for display? Or should I use both?

    The first one matches the original except I have 299 and Right Now! under the 299.

    The second one gives a little more information (still leaves out the most important info but so did GM) and is more of an eye grabber but still has the same theme.

    I like the 2nd one best, but if you added "MPG" to the first, it might add the proper amount of detail for some folks. Then I'd agree you should display both. BTW, CONGRATULATIONS on your accomplishment! I assume you've documented the feat somewhere here on P-Chat?

    The other has too much information. Put your web address on the bottom and hand out cards which have the URL on them so people can seek out more information.

    Did the Volt thing have "MPG" after the "230"? Is, then I would add it. If not, then I wouldn't. I think the point is to be exactly like their sign. There's a chance enough people would get the point.

    ya i would put the MPG instead of the "right now" part... what is your reason for putting that there? give me a good enough explanation and i might be willing to change my mind...

    Well the ad campaign I found was the 230 with a date under it. Now that the date has passed I have found it with 230 and cheveyvolt.com under it. Thats it and nothing else. I dont have a short easy to remember URL to put under it so I put "Right Now!" to say you can get 299MPG RIGHT NOW! and dont have to wait for the volt to be released.

    I think I will use the first one as I think it will get people to ask more questions. If I use the second one people will just look at it and walk by. Thats what I think will happen anyway.
