This was an interesting press release I received from Toyota. They are planting 9 large floral gardens along California Freeways (2 in San Fran and 7 in LA area) as part of the Harmony add campaign. What I want to know is if a Prius Gen III drives by the displays, do peoples heads bloom out of the flowers?Newsroom : Toyota Prius ?Harmony Floralscapes? Blooming Along Los Angeles Freeways / Toyota

If anyone who drives The 110 Pasadena Freeway in downtown LA can comment, or if anyone finds photos, I would like to see. Particularly if you can get a video of the Floralscape at the moment a Gen III is passing. I will go look and post photo myself if I find any.

    I'm not loving it.
I'd like it a lot better if they were actually planting the plants, instead of installing them on top of plastic, in plastic flats - they will require watering, and eventually cleaning up/disposing of the plastic flats.

How about a really nice, park-like garden, with maybe a lovely plaque cast from recycled plastic? Recycled plastic/fibre picnic benches... playground equipment from bio-plastics? Native flowers and plants that will contribute to the environment, planted in the shape of Prius, sure.
