What Window Cleaner and wash to use?

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass and a sheet of newspaper to clean the glass. And right now I'm using Rain-X car wash and a wash brush to wash the car.

I use an electric leaf blower to dry and a bucket and a mit to apply the automotive wash soap. Then I have a window drying rag I got at Auto Zone for finishing the wet places left.

 

I have recently started using Nature's Source glass cleaner, (by Windex). Glass Cleaner from Nature's Source And I really like it. I haven't tried it on my car windows yet, but I hope to this weekend.

You should go to the above forum and check out the threads there as they offer much good advice regarding the washing and care of your vehicle.

 

Depends on whether you have tint or not. Do not use Windex or ammonia-based cleansers on tint. Most times you can get windows clean with two microfiber towels and no chemicals whatsoever -- wipe down the window with the first towel dampened with plain water, and another dry towel to buff clean. Make sure you use high quality microfiber towels, and never wash them with fabric softener like Downy. The residue from the fabric softener will lead to streaking by itself.

If you want to save water but still keep your car clean, check out some of the new rinseless products available, like Optimum No Rinse (ONR). Search through some of the other threads for details and experiences using ONR.

Same here. I am happy with the results with Stoner's Invisible Glass. Use Meguier's car wash and and 2 wash mitts to wash down our cars and a good grade chamois to dry it down.

I like to keep my glass clean always, so I use a wet cotton face towel to wipe down the glass areas and follow-up immediately with another one to dry it on a daily basis.

Use Stoner glass cleaner when I wash the car down on a weekly basis.

 

Stoner's is also available here in a plastic pump bottle, so pick your poison.

 

They also have a spray bottle and wipes at my local Pep Boys.

 

Another +1 on Stoners, although I use the pump bottle. Spray on, use a microfiber "washcloth" to wipe it around and pick up the dirt then a larger microfiber towel to dry off. The result is perfectly clean windows with no streaks.

 

I use old fashioned flour cloth to clean and dry my windows.

 

I use the Armor All brand window towelettes. They're safe for inside (with my window tint) and outside. However, they do tend to dry up in the container if they are kept in the car in hot weather.

I just found the Rain-X towelettes and used them for the first time this morning. Just the right amount of product on the wipe, and it beats having to find something to apply the Rain-X. I use Rain-X on all of the glass on the outside. I finish up with the Armor All window cleaner towelettes to take the Rain-X haze off.

The towelette products cost more than the same product in a spray bottle, but it beats trying to find something to use to wipe with. To me it's worth the cost.

Now that I had the oil and filter changed and took advantage of the free car wash (my oil shop is in conjunction with a great car wash), then treated the leather seats and Rain-X'ed the glass it is clouding up something awful and looks like rain. All my fault, I guess!
