A place to put my spare change. In my '05 Corolla, there was a perfectly placed compartment where I could put in small change. In my Prius I put in in the angled cup holder.

I'm still getting used to having a car that doesn't have a trunk release lever on the floor. I just have to remember that all the doors have to be unlocked for me to open my trunk.

I'm 6'3" and have to have my right leg in a very uncomfortable position. I couldn't drive it more than 10 minutes without cruise. My 2006 didn't have that ridiculous center console so my one change would be to get rid of the console and go back to the way the earlier models were. This would provide more leg room and a lot more usable storage. This design sacrificed way too much function.

lol. I do not know. I find it easy to access the centre console to change CDs

+1 or at least paint the plugs body colour or have the indicators enlarged to fill it up (like the 2nd Gen RAV4)

A higher payload than 825 lbs. Since the whole family, with luggage, weighs well over 900 lbs, we can't use the Prius for our family vacation.

"Case"? The changer holds 4, and I can't see 4 fitting between the door and driver's seat. Same thing with the center console--it doesn't have much if a lip on the shelf--i think more than one or two would slide off over the edge.

In the auto mode, just increase the temp to lower the fan speed and decrease the temp to up the fan speed.

I have 2 things that I would change - I miss power seats (had them on my rental Camry and LOVED tham) and I'd move the back seat cup holders out of the folding arm rest. I have 3 kiddoes who sit in the back, thus rendering the holders useless to them. I'm sick of the fighting over who will hold the 44 ounce soda cup (usually filled with Green tea though..lol)

A few Things I Would Change?

    1. Real alloy wheels on the IV instead of the plastic wheel covers.
    2. Fog lamps on the IV - that plain gray plastic piece is pretty homely - especially in a $30,000 car.
    3. GREEN! We need a stylish, classy green color. Silverpine mica would look good with the bisque or misty gray interiors. Tideland pearl was a nice color too! Just not that horrible avocado metallic on Camry!
    4. Back up camera option - even in rearview mirror - for II and III with no NAV.
    5. A solar panel IN the car's roof that doesn't open but will cool the car, like the one in the SPEC edition for the Scion tCs - a class panoramic roof that doesn't open, but the Prius one would have solar panels to run / cool car. This would be in place of the actual opening sunroof - for folks who like the glass above their heads for light and openness but don't OPEN their roofs.
    6. Metallic black instead of the flat black color.
    7. A deeper red metallic color... more burgundy than bright red.
    8. A paler blue metallic... light blue. We all miss blue moon pearl!
    9. A cupholder in the front left side of the dash like the Lexus 400h has, it glides out of the dash when you press it & holds a single tall cup. Driver needs an extra front cupholder in 2010 Prius!
    10. the OPTION of 17" wheels and tires as a PPO on a IV model.

That's all I can think of for now... but the day is young (even though I am not!!!) LOL.

Yes, you can. You'll just get crappy gas mileage! :D

I agree about the colors. I would love to see the addition of the Scion color offerings to the Pruis as well. They have a very pretty burgundy that has a black cherry type hue to it (If I ever repaint my 2010, that's the color it will become). Also, I'd love to see a sporty yellow Prius!

I've owned the car eight days so I'm getting perturbed at missing things I liked about my Volvos. Somethings are just different and I'll adjust to the change.

The rear center arm rest should have a storage area in it so I can keep my owners manual in there like I do in my 97 Volvo 960.
Saves a whole lot of space in the glove box.

    Locking glove box.

When I unlocked my 87 Volvo's drivers door ALL five doors also unlocked at the same time. I wish my Prius did the same thing.

For me at first I didn't like the split window now I do. It blocks the head light glare from vehicles traveling behind me.

The center space under the console could have sliding accordion panels on the sides to shield items in there from prying eyes.

Back doors and the back window need optional retractable window shades that can be used to cut sunlight entering the car. I have these on my 960 and never knew how much they help.

I love the split window, here in the United States because of its perfect height it acts as a headlight blocker for the tailgating SUV behind me.

    1. Make the steering ratio a lot tighter on the lower end models

    2. Make the steering wheel telescope further

    3. Put the cruise control on the column and not the wheel (I hate when I go to adjust it during a turn and it's upside down and on the other side of the wheel)

    4. Make the center console displays LED or better quality LCD

    5. Alloy wheels on all models (No car over 20k should have hub caps)

    6. Figure out some way to eliminate the interior outgassing toxic chemicals for months after I've bought the car

There are Alloy's under the hubcaps. :D

The hubcaps are for better aerodynamic numbers.

Yeah, I was irritated with the split window in the rear view mirror until I noticed the same advantage :)
