..just realized that there is no place to store my sunglasses in my Prius III w/Solar. Is this just on the III or all Prius' w/solar?

I never liked the overhead for sunglasses, so I don't miss it.

The new cupholders in the doors are way nicer than before, much better for my sunglasses. They sit upright in the deep pocket, rather than flat like before.

Couldn't find mine either. Must be where the button to make the moonroof open and close is! I'd rather have the Moonroof:D:)

Most of us who have the sunglass holder can't use it for sunglasses because it's not deep enough. Like john1701a I use the driver door bottle holder for my Maui Jim's.

It's all solars, not just the IIIs. My IV SR doesn't have it either.

I noticed that the Gen III's sunglass holder is really shallow.. so only the slimmest of glasses (when folded) will fit. It's definitely not the standard Toyota size found in the Gen II or other Toyotas.

Must depend on the the style of sunglasses, because mine fit just fine in my 2010 II.

of course but I meant the depth of the holder. Neither one (the standard one or the Gen III Prius one will hold those large fancy designer glasses that women wear)

or the Maui Jim Titanium Sports that women or men might wear. ;)

I tried a couple of different types of sunglasses, and none fit too well because there's no depth to the holder. Who wears Ray-Ban Wayfarers any more? They might fit. :p

It's the same holder size as my Lexus IS, maybe Prius is reaching for the luxury segment in sunglass holders? My glasses fit fine.

but not the same as our Gen 2 or our Camry. Guess Toyota has two sizes?

I use a magnetic clip-on which was perfect for the overhead. Problem was they'd get REALLY hot in the AZ heat. In the 2010 w/ SR, I toss them down in the center lower "shelf" - it's carpeted enough to not scratch the lenses and I don't leave much else down there.
