$2,000 less than MSRP for my III with Nav but it was a manager's demo with 3,400 miles on it. So not an awesome deal but I'm still happy.
Hi there. I am from San Diego and we are buying two ourselves - a package V and a package II. Can you please tell me where you went and who was your salesperson? Thanks!
Can you tell me where you got your car and the salesperson's name. I am in San Diego and am desperately looking for a good dealer. I am trying two of you guys to see what kind of deal I can get on buying two.
I stopped in to a Toyota dealer in Brooklyn today. They are getting $2000 over MSRP, and won't even talk to you unless you agree. I wonder how many of the folks in this thread that claim less than MSRP, made their purchase in the last week or two? Or are they reporting a purchase from say 6 months ago? I almost bought one two or so weeks ago from a dealer in Jersey who was about to give it to me for $200 under MSRP. should have grabbed it.
Alicia Gonzalez at Toyota of Escondido. Really nice salesperson, great dealership so far, positive buying experience, but you have to stick to your guns on price.
Wow, how did you all done so well of getting way below MSRP? Anyone in Texas done this well? Allocation on the solar roof model here is horrible.
Since you asked ... Bob Baker Toyota. 1st salesman was Hanns (?) who was good. Don't get played by the floor manager, Gary. 2nd salesman was Amil (?) and he flat out deceived my wife. Ultimately, the general sales manager, Mario Lupinacci, resolved the conflict due to Amil and we closed the deal without regret. They are very low in Prius vehicles as of the weekend. The 2010 Prius vehicles were purchased 7/19/09 & 7/29/09 with no cash for clunkers discount or motivations. I would have loved to buy from Kandu from Kearny Mesa Toyota but it just didn't work out (twice !). KMT also adds lots of port or dealer accessory packages and are part of (Penske Group) Longo Toyota in Long Beach which has many many Prius vehicles (may be the # 1 overall Toyota dealer in the region). Of course, Mossy Toyota boasts that they are the # 1 So Cal Prius dealer and they were pretty indifferent to our offers if not arrogant. When they tout the line "we're the # 1 Prius dealer" really challenge them as to what that means to you as a potential customer. Our response was that "we don't need your business, go elsewhere, we won't meet anyone else's deal..." If you can find your model, we are happiest with Frank Toyota (a 2nd tier smaller dealership, similar to Bob Baker) where we purchased our 2007 Prius in November 2006. Good luck, Bill
$400 below MSRP at Beaver Toyota, Santa Fe NM for a Prius III (works out to $800 over invoice). If you are in the area write me and I'll refer you to the dealer and I'm pretty sure you'll get a good deal. I'm happy with them.
wow - you guys are lucky to get these prii below MSRP. There are so many people here in AZ who are taking advantage of the C4C program and because of it - dealers are sticking to msrp like white on rice.
I got my Prius II with no add ons but floor mats for $500 under MSRP. Irwin Toyota in New Hampshire -- even removed the port options from my car since I didn't want them. Very easy to deal with.
Only $100 below MSRP but waaay over blue book for my trade...not a clunker but I beat CFC by $500! :thumb:
$140 under MSRP, but only because the car they found for me had different accessories than the purchase agreement and the dealer credited me the difference.
I don't know how so many bought at below MSRP. I had to pay MSRP to get the last Prius on the lot. Fortunately they paid me $500 more for my trade-in than Kelly Blue Book wholesale value.
I know that Koons in Virginia were selling for $500 under MSRP -- but they have a dealer processing of about $370. I think it very much depends on the area and the number of cars available in the package/options you are shopping for. Around here, you it's hard to get one with solar at any price because they just aren't being delivered to the dealers in this area (they all went to California, apparently) but you might be able to get base model IIs, IIIs, and IVs for less -- I don't know.
I paid $100 under MSRP on July 4 in LA. Offered By Dianne Whitmore to pay my airfare from San Francisco.
