Tracking through vin #?

    Is it possible to somehow track or locate my car if I have its vin #?
    I'm expecting it to be delivered tomorrow, and in a moment of extreme
    impatience, I want to know where it is RIGHT NOW!!

    No, unless your the dealer selling the car and then it's only a maybe. Your dealer could have told you what ship it was on but yours has been on the ground for some time now. If you have a vin# your car is coming soon.

    Cool. Thanks for the info. I feel pretty certain it will be here in the next few days for sure. I just hope it is tomorrow, which it very easily could and should be. The past few nights I've actually had dreams of driving it. hahaha....... Thanks again.

    When is the VIN# made available? is it when its on the ship or when it lands at port?

    I got mine when I found out it had made it to the port.
    He also said that he was given a "loading #" which he said means it has been loaded onto a truck for delivery to the dealership.

    There are a bunch of threads on this. When your car gets allocated to your dealer they get a print out that includes the ship it or was on. Vin# too if your lucky. This is how we/me got into shiptracking. and then there are status letters for its progress on theground.
