I have a Roady XT that I keep plugged into the front charger and one day it stopped working. Soo I thought it was the charger and ordered a new one. Now this won't work either so figure it's the fuse, since neither port works. Is this something I can do myself or should I take it to a Toyota dealer to fix? We've got about 40k miles on our 2008 and this is the 1st time we've had a issue with the car. Thanks!! Shelley
The car is running, no power to the ports! I want to make sure this is something that could be a bigger issue than just a blown fuse. I run the roady but that's it. I tried to plug my kids dvd player in as well and no go, so it's the port issue and not the cords.
When the accessory outlet below the dash stopped working, I had the dealer check it out. It was a blown fuse. Since they replaced it, don't know the specifics about which fuse it was. Someone in the forum should be able to give you that info. While I was waiting to get the problem diagnosed, I powered my GPS from the outlet in the centre console. Have you tried using that outlet?
Each Power Outlet is on a separate 15A Fuse (not shared with anything else) according to Bentley Repair Manual. Is it possible that you had a faulty accessory, maybe your Roady XT that you've tried in both Power outlets?

The MasterFlow air compressor I bought blew the fuse on the dash's port. Look for & replace the fuses yourself or spend $50 at the dealer.
Checked both fuses, both are good but still no power coming from the outlet. What do you recommend next?
Hmm, how did you check the fuses? Did you actually remove them and use an ohmmeter to verify continuity? Are you sure that you checked the correct two fuses? If any doubt, I suggest that you buy the correct replacements from your Toyota dealer (as the fuses are a non-standard size) and replace the fuses.
Patrick- We do not live near our dealer nor do we go by one often when they are working, soo Friday worlds collided and there we were!! The service man came right out and tested them found 1 fuse was blown (even though it looked fine) and replaced it, charged me $1.33 for the fuse only and sent me on my way!! He did tell me you can use regular fuses they are just longer and then you would not be able to put the lid on the fuse box. I'm glad I was able to make it in, I've missed my XM terribly bad!!
