2005 non-NAV A/V input? Hi guys. I'm new here and pretty excited about my new Prius purchase, as well as finding such a comprehensive forum for it. My initial search here has not yielded the results expected, so here I go asking: what is the easiest, most efficient way to get a A/V input into the car's audio system and respectively the MFD, on a 2005 with no NAV? Thanks in advance for all the info.

I'm pretty sure you can't do that with the mfd on a 05 base. This is what I've done to my 06: btw, sorry for the sound being out. Seems youtube can play with the timing of the sound.
I believe that base 04 and 05's have a analog screen and the 04/05's nav's have digital screens (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The 06-09's have a digital screen no matter what model (again correct me if I'm wrong) I'm pretty sure there is nothing out there to hook up a non nav screen. Also, it's not a very safe way to watch a movie/tv show, etc. You'd be better off to either go with the sunvisors or the headrests for the rear passengers. If I'm wrong, someone please let us know.
So you're saying it's hardware related, and it's impossible for me to even install a NAV system in my car? It's not so much DVD's as it would be a rear view camera. Does it mean that the only way would be to replace it with a digital one? It looked to me like the difference in packages was just the NAV system and not the display... How about the audio part? Is VAIS the best and can I used on this car? I'm also interested in finding out why there is so much difference between the Nav and non-Nav cars, and when did the MFD go from analog to digital. How do we find out if we have digital or analog screens? Is it NAV dependent? Sorry about the wave of questions, but I do want to learn and improve this car. Thanks
Re: 2005 non-NAV A/V input? How does one find out if they have a analog or digital MFD? There's only one very expensive package for 2005 , that featured the NAV system? Does this mean that there's only a few privileged, or most people ordered that package?

You mean video input? Very confusing. This Dave can rig a video input regardless of what kind of MFD one might have?
Yes video input... for a backup camera, DVD player (factory or aftermarket), Playstation, whatever your fancy.
Do you have a link to this guys Phone no.? How do I get a hold of him? Also, I noticed we have the same color car; where you able to find the Toyota Tideland Pearl touch-up paint anywhere? I've tried a few stores around here, and it seems to be the only one missing...
