I have always been a Ford guy and looked at the Fusion Hybrid but it's more money than a Prius and it has worse gas mileage. I won't be able to pick up my Prius until July 24th when the Cash for Clunkers deal is completed. I am trading in my 96 Crown Victoria that get 18MPG for the Prius II. A few questions for everyone. What air pressure do you keep the tires at? Do you specifically use Toyota oil filters or aftermarket? I change my own oil. How exactly does the "B" on the shift lever work? Dealer tells me its for regenerative braking. What does satellite radio capable mean? Do I need an external tuner to get XM radio? (It's a Prius II) Any other tips I should know about? Thanks
Congratulations!!! I do not know the answers to your questions, but hopefully someone will. Maybe try the audio forum for your XM question and the Maintenance section about the filters.
Also, the III comes with Bluetooth built in which is great here in WA since our law is hands free. I programmed it last night (not something I could do until I stopped moving unlike more tech savy people). I am really happy I spent the extra money.
Yup, forgot to mention that as well. My dad wanted a II but the dealer messed up and got him a III like I had told him to get from the beginning... Sure enough, once he got it home and used the cd changer and actually learned from me how to use the bluetooth he was glad he had spent the extra grand...
