I've searched and even followed the directions found here.
I'm trying to set the car up so when I push the unlock button, ALL the doors unlock. I've gone through the whole hold down the unlock button and alarm button etc till I'm blue in the face.
I've figured out there are three settings. One beep - unlocks drivers door, two beeps - unlocks drivers door, three beeps - unlocks drivers door. This is like Ford saying you have a choice of three colors, black, black and black.
I'm just trying to get the FOB to program because I have the SKS turned off for medical reasons.
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you provide your car information (year, model and option package) either in your question or in your profile it makes answering easier. I'll assume in this case you have a 2004-2009 model as this is the Gen 2 thread.

I found this thread which basically says if you want all doors to open with one button press its not possible. The four door open feature is for the smart key function only.

    See :http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-main-forum/50804-help-switching-door-unlock-function.html

    Hope that helps. :)

Actually, on page 488 of the 2008 manual it lists various electronic features, the programming of which "requires specialized equipment and may be performed by an authorized Toyota dealership."

For instance, under "Wireless remote control" it lists pushing the unlock button twice to unlock all doors as the default, but pushing the unlock button only once to unlock all doors is shown as an option.

Thus I believe it can be changed, but you will probably have to visit a dealer to do so...

In fact, this leads to a question...

It lists both "Shift the shift lever to "P" unlocks all doors" and "Shift the shift lever to position other than "P" locks all doors" as "ON" by default. However, as far as I know, none of the Gen 2 Prii do this by default, so I recently ordered a kit from the PriusChat Shop in order to add this function.

So... is there any way to enable auto-locking without a kit?

(I ended up with a 2008 manual when I got my 2007 Prius recently, but they said it's all the same info anyway.)

I have 2008 Toyota Prius. It's not a touring modle.
The link provided confirms my suspicion, I can not program the FOB to do what I want.  Only with the SKS enabled will it work.
If anybody has figured this out let me know. I think it's odd that you can do it with the SKS but not the FOB.

I believe that was an error in the manual. Auto door lock/unlock won't work without a kit for Gen 2 cars. They put it in Gen 3 though.

I have a 2009 Touring with pkg 6. My dealer charged me 40 bucks to set it up so that grabbing the door handle unlocks all the doors. I find it quite convienent and I live in a rural area so there are minimal safety issues.

Hey RussP.... welcome.... but you know, you could have done that yourself in a couple of minutes. The instructions are in here somewhere, and maybe in the manual.

Well, it does say that special equipment from the dealer is required to change these settings...

Maybe no one knew of this feature because it's not user changeable?

Just push the unlock button twice to unlock all doors, one push for the driver door only.

    Hello RussP:

If the dealer charged you $40 to enable the SKS "driver's door unlocks all doors" feature, then you were robbed.

The procedure is in your owners manual. It is done by using the lock and alarm buttons on your SKS key fob.

It's truly sad that there are dealers who knowingly abuse their customers this way.

This is another reason why reading the manual is important.

    Best wishes,

    Frank

A couple of minutes? Try five seconds...

The dealer charged you $40 for that?

Edit: Yeah, what yardman said. ^
