What type of gas do I need to use for my 2010 Prius?

The book says 88 or higher. So I guess I cant use 87 Regular unleaded Gas? I MUST use 89?

Sorry for the dumb question. I don't want to ruin the engine and I want to verify with the book and actual Prius owners.

    Thanks!

See earlier threads on 88 Octane. Answer is it is ok to use the 87.

The manual was a miss print and Toyota has issued a memo that it should be 87

As mentioned Toyota USA has gotten back to us and it is ok to use 87 octane as the manual was printed wrong.

And apparently 85 octane at high altitudes is OK! This in answer to one of my 'dumb' questions!
