If you look slightly below the DRL LED there appears to be Four LED's that I can't seem to get to light up. Does anyone know if these are just eye candy or something else?

    Edit: Five LED's

Gen 2 2006-2009 had similar treatment - all for show.

Also, that's not a DRL LED (in the US at least), that's the wide spread LED for close up general illumination.

The bulb above where you circled is the parking light, not a DRL LED.

The picture is of a halogen headlamp. The wide-spread LED on the LED headlamps is below this separator.

We didn't see a car with the headlamps turned on at our pre-launch event, so I can't tell you if this is different outside North America.

Maybe not, in Europe DRL Lights will become a required feature, so maybe Toyota had taken advance and already reserved the place for future DRLs.

    Could be--would be somewhat Audi-like.

I believe DRLs are required in Canada. Typically manufacturers use the high beam bulbs at a reduced intensity. Could somebody in Canada comment on which bulbs are used for DRLs?

So is everyone saying that my 2010 IV has 5 LEDs in the headlight cluster that can't be powered up and are eye candy for someone looking at the outside of the car? That seems really strange, but they are there and I can't find a way to light them up.

They aren't LEDs. They are little bumps that look like LEDs.
