Official 2010 Prius Owners Pics

I had ordered them as OEM for a Port Install, but the car was delivered without them. The dealer ended up ordering them and installed them. Had I known they were not going to be port installed I would have done them myself and saved a lot of cash. The list price was $499. My actual cost is relative, since I brokered a deal involving my trade-in.

 

Thanks for the info. You are the first post I can find here that did OEM in the US. Dealers in the PDX area just say there are none, as did mine in ID where I will pick up next week. So I was going to order them on this site and have a body shop install, but no response to either of my e-mails requesting a delivery estimate (so obv I worry about placing an order in a situation that feels like the wizzard of oz - who is behind the curtin ). PS most dealers around here did not even want to "find" wheel locks. So I called Toyota's CS line today and said it would be nice if most if not all the assessories were available a month+ after launch.

 

lord i'm going to have to get a second job to pay for all this!!! I think i'll tackle the fog lights first , then the molding,it really does look nice and is definitely functional.speaking of fog lights, i noticed you have a v. Could you look at the plug in for the lights and tell me if they are somehow part of the main light harness(maybe a pass thru plug or the like) or separate. Ive ordered the lights,stalk, etc. From the v for my iv with solar but there still seems to be some uncertainty about whether the hook-up is there and waiting behind bumper(my dealer has yet to recieve a v and just isnt sure if the existing wiring is there.), thanks!

 

It's finally time to add a Colorado photo to the new Prius photos collection! Pictured is my Metallic Silver Prius II with the "Flatirons" of Boulder, Colorado, in the background. The lines of the car correspond nicely to the geologic formations.

My car was delivered last Monday, and I've been achieving around 54 mpg, even with 90 degree heat, and the air conditioner running continuously. Perhaps I'm the first to have a flat tire as well! Something mysterious happened on the way home from Boulder to Denver. I didn't realize that the funny little symbol with the exclamation point was a "low tire" for quite some time. And I had left the manual at home so I couldn't look up the symbol.

Don't do what I did. Not realizing it was getting flatter by the second, I kept driving until I wondered what that "funny sound" was on the right side. By the time I stopped, I was driving on a very flat tire. So much that I have to buy a new tire, and Discount Tire will take a week to get one from CA since it's a new model and a new tire.

My advice: before driving, review what all the symbols mean in the manual!

FGP: Great pics. Do have a question (please excuse the newbi-ness) though. I see your scanguage and wonder why are you using it? Don't the Gen III have the ability to show all of that info? I have a scanguage too, but it's in my truck, provides awesome instant-info.

 

great question! i use my scan guage II for rpms and engine temp. it also shows more accurate (i think) mph. i use my garmin of course for directions but it too shows miles per hour which might be the most accurate since they come from satellite. i appreciate you letting me answer these questiosn
