I have a Prius III w/o Navigation and an LG VX8600 with Verizon. My quality is so good, people prefer me to talk on that then on the actual phone. And they come through crystal clear through the car speaker.

As I read posts on this subject, it seems that people who complain about the blutooth sound quality tend to have the nav system (and solar roof?). It has also been stated that if you have the nav you can adjust the outgoing volume.

I wonder if cars without the nav, and no known way to adjust outgoing volume, come with volume set at max, maybe even higher than the adjustable volume in nav cars. I know other nav owners are not having a problem so I could be completely off base.

Another possibllity is that microphone placement in cars with the sunroof is a little different due to the sunroof controller switch.

This is pure speculation on my part.

I agree. From all the posts I have read it seems that us non-navers came out better on the handsfree. Mine sure seems to work good. Of course that could be wishful thinking on my part.

Must be my phone then. May have to take it in but will try my husband's phone and see how that sounds first.

Did you ever figure out how to improve the sound qulity on your bluetooh? I have a 2010 that I bought in June. It has sounded horrible from the beginning. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the stereo, but it didn't improve sound quality.
The dealer told me that that is the way bluetooth's sound..... My wife and I have different phones and it sounds bad with both of them. Any advice is appreciated.
