    Two questions:

    1. I'm planning to install an aftermarket rearview camera system in my V. I noticed a blank plastic piece just to the left of the hatch opening latch. Does anyone know if that's where the OEM camera is located. Looks to be a perfect location for the camera I would add.

    2. I'm planning to install an additional horn (already bought) - low note - to round out the 'beep-beep' Roadrunner. I feel the horn is a good defensive mechanism especially in parking lots etc. (I live in Florida - folks with hearing issues...) I see the OEM horns are located directly behind the upper grill opening in front of the radiator. Anyone know an easy way to access this area to mount the added horn and connect?

    1. Yep, that's where it is.

    2. One of the horns might be the alarm system so double check. Funny how the alarm horn sounds a lot nicer than the regular horn (why couldn't they use the alarm horn as the regular horn too?)

#1 yes that is where the camera is/would be. I pried it back a little to see if the wiring was there and put a little scratch in my hatch.

I would recommend trying to remove it by taking out the interior panel if possible. The clips that held it in were pretty well hooked and it will probably break if you try to pry it out.

I have an idea, swap the power cable on the horns.... then the regular horn will sound better.

Oh yea couldn't see very well but it didn't look like there was any wires in there.

The horn - standard. Actually I haven't tried it / heard it from the outside - but it sure sounds as if it's a dual horn (both powered). Maybe I'm wrong, but have the bass horn, so in it will go. Just don't want to make this into a huge project. And no rush - may do it next week and will report back of course. Maybe even take pics for grins as Rick did with his beauti-ful moldings.
