Has anyone gotten a quote on what it will cost to get factory fog lights installed at the dealer in models that do not come with foglights? I would assume there are several components involved which include the fog lights, the wiring, and the added switch which I would think would still be on the headlight lever looking at where the on/off switch is on the 2G Prius. Also, I would assume that it would have to be tied in with the headlights in someway so that the fog lights turn off if you use the high beams.

I'm interested in this too, though would prefer being able to control the fog lights separately from the headlights...

Same here. Hope this is an add-on someone comes up with for a reasonable price.

I plan to measure the round part of the plastic inserts and find an aftermarket set of fogs about that size. Wiring them up should be a cinch. I can't believe they only put fogs on the nearly $30K version of this car. >(

Does anyone have an update on this? I asked my dealer and he said they wouldn'y be able to price it for a few weeks. Thanks.

No info yet. I still want to get them. I also want the factory ones that are on the V including the switch on the headlight stick.

To be honest, factory fog lights from any auto manufacturer are notoriously terrible and are just a moneymaker. You're better off getting real fog lights aftermarket. Hopefully they will sell the stalk from the V and then any competent shop can wire them right up.

Get yourself some lighter 17" wheels and wave out your sunroof at the V owners as they spray fluid all over their hood with the goofy headlight washers. Can't find the picture but it was pretty funny!

Not as funny as when you cut back in front of me real sharp (assuming you can turn the steering wheel fast enough with that slow ratio to make a sharp turn) and your new 17" tires rub and throw little black chunks onto my clean headlights :)

ooooooooooooh catfight!!!! All in fun to be sure. I hear ya' about the fogs. One reason why I chose the V - although I did, of course really want the 17"s and tight steering. The LEDs are great but headlight washers, as I said in previous posts and provided the 'spray' pictures, are a giveaway.

If I had decided on <V I'd definitely be in the camp of getting aftermarket fogs. And would have no issue having a completely separate switch installed in one of the blanks left of the steering wheel. Could then have your fogs on alone or with the marker lights if desired.

Honestly, can't the headlight washers just be disconnected? Especially the ones like me in So. Cal that will never have a need for them. Hopefully they are on their own circuit although I highly doubt it to just unplug the fuse. We'll see or if anyone who already has their V could verify. That would be great.
