I'm curious if anyone who got the solar package now regrets it?

Not for a second, :) but If I owned 2 then my other would have the ATP package.

Picked up V Saturday, now have 240 miles under my belt. Will post initial impressions today as well.

Here's some pics - from the dealer (Earl Stewart Toyota) in Palm Beach, the drive home 190 miles (Orlando area), and some around home area today.

BTW - 47.3MPG first 190 miles. 95f out so air was on all the time. Varied speed quite a bit and made about 5 stops. Tried Power merging from Rest Stops (OMG....nice). On ECO when steady-ish highway - 58-70. Lights (LEDs) on 1/3 of the time - rain. Tires (17") were at 33lbs from the dealer. Novice hybrid driver so I was REALLY pleased with this initial mpg....

What a wonderful vehicle!....from a happy and proud new Prius owner. Couldn't (and probably wouldn't) have done it without the great info and advice from this fantastic Forum.
Thanks to all. And hope your dream come true.

Wow! Congrats Dean!! :cheer2: And thanks for the photos! Even Poochie is smiling! I test drove a red one this weekend and it is no-kidding red - Fire and Ice Red (that's a long time lipstick shade that the ladies may know) Is that bisque on the interior? Very nice combo!

    Thanks!

Red/bisque, yes. I was pleasantly pleased when I saw my car and the red popped. Knew I wanted red but wasn't sure how it would look in real life. IMO perfect and sharp, nice metallic sheen. The bisque...well it's very light, no accent colors except for the dash area. It's quite nice though and looks good against the red. I've had about 8 new cars in the past with the red/tan combo and I find it tantalizing. Very thankful my exact choice was on the ship, unfettered.

No regrets, but I think it hasn't quite met my expectations - but let's keep that in the thread already created for it.

You indicated no packages in your profile. Just some clarification, are saying no Navigation Package as well?

    Enjoy your car!

That's right - no nav. That was my preference, and I thought I may have to eventually take one with it. Luckily the planets aligned...

Quite a rare car, I would think! I had the same question about "No Packages" so I immediately looked for a pic of the dash -- Yep! No Nav.

Enjoy the car and keep reporting back. Even with A/C on, I expect you'll be getting 50 MPGs in no time. I might suggest pumping the tires up a little. Don't go very high to begin with, but see if you can still enjoy if you run the tires at, say, 38/37. If so, then you could try higher. Don't jump really high, though, unless you feel you are very comfortable with the basic driving characteristics of your car.

    Great pics!!

Actually I posted in the "What kind of tires did you get' thread that the dealer had them at 33 and I brought them all to 43. Riding today -really feel no difference. Have the 17" Toyos and they're not the quietest, at either lbs but. Should I drop back to 40lbs?

Sweet. Barcelona Red really matches well with the Gen 3.

I'd keep the 1psi differential from front to rear, otherwise it's all about ride and handling.

Why? You've already said you feel no difference. I suggest you keep riding at that pressure unless it becomes uncomfortable (noise or rough ride) or you feel your safety has become compromised due to handling changes. Try it for a week or so and then consider making a change.

Got pkg IV w/ moonroof last weekend, totally adore it

This is the first 2010 3rd gen. Prius w/ moon (solar) roof in town @ Santa Barbara. Dealership called us last night when the car just arrived. I wasn't going to get it until I saw it .... fell in love w/ this beauty ... traded in my '05 Prius for this baby .....

I picked up my 2010 Prius, package 3 w/ nav in Winter Gray with a dark gray interior. That's a color/feature combo I don't think I've seen yet on PriusChat.

My first set of photos isn't that spectacular, but we were busy devoting time to getting to know the car. :) I'll see if I can get some other photos up that do a better job of showing how well the paint matches the interior. (I'll also get info up in the driving impressions and tire threads when I get a chance, busy at work right now.)

I have never done a tint before. How well does it last particularly the drivers window with the frequent opening and closing?

Any special qualifications I should look for in a dealer?

Is it just me, or does it seem like Prius drivers tend to be just plain Better Looking than the general run of people? :p

Oh, and the car looks nice, too. ;)

Depending on the brand of tint and the quality of installation, it can last 10+ years. You shouldn't have to worry about opening/closing the windows except for the first few hours after the tint has been installed. During this time you should keep your windows up, and use the AC if you must.

You should try to find a tint shop that has been in business for awhile. Experience is key.
