Anyone know what this stuff is that keeps the plastic sheet on inside the door panel?

I need to get into behind the sheet to repair my door lock anyone know if it will stick back on?

You'll have better luck asking that question in a 2004-2009 forum.

I call it gorilla snot but it is basically windshield adhesive. It is simply a black tarry substance that sticks well. :)

Carefully peel back the plastic from the door panel such that you do not distort the plastic and you'll be fine. The plastic will stick to the gorilla snot again once you are finished. You can purchase more snot from just about any hardware store if needed. :)

I can get a name of a brand for you if you need it. We use it all the time at the stereo shop but I'm drawing a blank as to what it is called. I just know it comes in rolls.
