Actually there are not a lot of options for the V so fully loaded means adding either Nav or the ATP in my zip, so I'm just hoping there are a lot of Blizzard White ones on the next boat.
I had heard that there were V's being shipped with only Nav and things like that. Not sure how true that is tho. I just know one dealer I spoke with wanted loaded IV's and V's and there weren't many. They were light on the options ie no ATP just Nav.
Are you actually paying money to track these cargo ships? If so, what is it costing you to do so? I created a "free" account but it won't let me see a live map. When I clicked on your link above, the site stated that I needed to be logged in to view the current positioning.
So it seems we are looking at late June delivery to dealerships from the Pyxis Leader. I hope my V is on the ship. Patience........
No you can do it for free if you have an account. Each website works differently. Sometimes with Vessel tracker you just type the name in the search bar and the ship will come up. The problem with vessel tracker is that it can have a 5 hour lag time, and the ships only show up when they are near a covered port. Otherwise they are invisible. Marine Traffic is different but it helps to zoom in on the area you think the ship is in. It has trouble finding the ship on the world map. Again if it leaves the coverage area it will dissapear. However it is very close to real time tracking. You can actually follow the ship with minimal delay. I use it like a screen saver. I'm up late or early depending so I'll see stuff at 5-6am sometimes and then by 9am the ship is gone. Hope this helps.
My dealer just called. The Pyxis Leader is expected in Newark 6/22. My V is on board. Expected delivery to the dealer is ~6/30. Time will tell.......
Hmm must be the ship with my car on it. My dealer is expecting their next allocation in on 6/17, or so my saleswoman told me today.
My dealer told me that my car is on the Pyxis!!!! Doesn't have delivery date yet but knowing it's coming is just what the doc ordered.
How does a guy find out which ship his car is on? I have the VIN and it's expected into Jacksonvile FL port next Saturday. So I'd guess it's around Portland OR by now. Don't want to bug my dealer rep, unless I need to.
The dealer can find out exactly what ship the car is on. if he has the Vin# he knows the ship name as well. Chances are it will be the Pyxis Leader and it will dock in Jacksonville. It is heading towards Cuba but I can't pinpoint it's position...... yet.
Pyxis Leader is now to the north of Havana, Cuba. Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions
Nice ! I also just found it this morning. I've been watching it and it doesn't seem to be moving. It's like watching paint dry.
Frustrating isn't it. Well it's moved off the map so it's moving. Sometimes the ship is moving but it's on the edge of their coverage area, so you will see it just sitting there and then it's gone. It will show up again when it gets into the Florida coverage area. it's the same ship as the Andromeda Leader, which is a ways behind the Pyxis Leader.
Thanks Steve, Knowing my car is on this ship is enough satisfaction. Hope your car is meeting your expectations. Having not owned a Prius before, I have a lot of questions, most of which will be answered when I finally get it.
Pyxis Leader is about 40 miles directly south of Key West. It's showing up on Marine Traffic.com. (come-on Pyxis)!!!!!
I wish my dealer would tell me what ship is coming in to Portland, OR on the 12th of june. Dosent seem to know or want to tell me for some reason.
The itinerary of the Kentucky Highway might provide insight into how close the Pyxis Leader is to port. Based on the Kentucky Highway's trek, it is currently two days from Jacksonville and another two after that to Newark: '' Daily Vessel's Itineraries - AIS Marine Traffic
