Part of the problem is getting a Zilla. I hear that Otmar will be building them again. I hear that so-and-so can get one. I hear that nobody can get them. I hear that he has shut down.

I also am unsure whether the version that will work at 144 volts is water cooled, whether the 1K amp version is water cooled. Or whether only the 2K is water cooled, or the higher-amperage versions...

I had to sit on my hands, just trembling with excitement, trying to restrain myself from responding to your comment

Well, either I'm going to have to visit you, or you're going to have to visit me, and I'm going to have to find you a woman.

Of course, some of the women I have in mind, could be - charitably - called "frightening"

I have learned that when people say things like, "I'm going to find you someone" they are just blowing air. No offense meant. It's kind of like when someone says, "How are you?" they don't really want to know. It's a polite, formal greeting. The proper answer is not, "My liver is acting up again." The proper answer is to repeat their words back at them.

As for frightening, I assure you, that I find pretty women terrifying. But if you meant to say that you have some ugly or mean women in mind, I would not be interested.

Now, if you have a 1K Zilla on hand that you'd sell me, we could do business. I just went to their web site and got on the waiting list for when they resume business. I am number fourteen hundred and something. I imagine that means about a three-year waiting list.

I think he meant frightening as in the type of girl that is so freaky you have to yell at her to put the stick down and no she can't use that other thing ON YOU!

Great pics as usual Daniel, of you and the car. :)

Sounds like a fun night out to me. I like a woman you have to moderate, much more fun than one you need to coax and beg to try something different.
you should give it a go Daniel. By the way, I look at your photo and don't see an ugly bloke at all, in fact in the shot where your sitting on the car you look very confident. By the way, chicks don't care so much about the actual car, just what it represents.

Agreed! A fun-filled electrifying night of slow speed love which will leave you drained in the end..... Just make sure your energy pack is full Daniel, you don't want to go in with a half charge!

Pat is right though. As always....

You're not half bad for an uneducated bird-brain huh bru? :)

I was kind of surprised myself. But it cost nothing to get on the list.

I definitely will, if I can get one. It might be some time before they even begin making them again, though.

Oh, did you mean what Jay said? He's in Winnipeg! That's almost as far away from me as you are. And he was as serious about that as he was in the "Baaa means no" thread.

I assume you're not being too picky about what *kind* of woman you end up with for the night. There are plenty of potential one-nighters out there, once you erase all standards whatsoever

Oh, I'm serious all right. Perhaps you're just too picky about women in general. I sure hope you don't expect to find a woman with supermodel looks, a PhD in Chemical Engineering, because most of them already have a girlfriend and are not at all interested in a fun menage a trois

    Yes, I've asked

As far as baaaa, what should be No in one culture, is a definite Yes in another culture. Gotta love checking out different cultures

I wonder if Daniel knew what he was getting himself into when he got that Porsche?

Um .... what was the original topic again??

Okay: I am not looking for sex with anyone that's willing. Sex is not even the thing I most want from a woman. Yes, I'd like someone to have sex with. But I want it to be someone who's also a friend and a companion. She need not be a super-model (most of them are not all that good-looking anyway) but I'm not interested in someone who is physically repulsive. I don't expect a genius, but I'd prefer someone who's not actually stupid. I will reject smokers and racists and homophobes outright.

I bought the Porsche because I wanted a freeway-capable electric car. It is that. Its performance falls so far short of what was promised, that I am disappointed. I never expected it to be a chick magnet.

BTW, I am making a point of looking at the reactions of girls and women. They see the car and look away. They have zero interest in a Porsche as it drives by them while they are sitting at a bus stop or standing on a corner waiting to cross. On the other hand, the Xebra draws stares.

A freeway-capable electric Porsche with significantly greater range than is possible with lead batteries.

I've come to the conclusion that what I need is a thousand-amp controller that is either much more effectively cooled than my present 500-amp controller, or much more tolerant of heat. I have inquiries out. Based on what's been posted over at TMC, I believe that is the best first step, and might be good enough by itself. It would not increase my range (only more batteries would do that -- though an electric p/s pump might help a bit) but it should give me 30% more power, which would be okay, if it also didn't cut back as driving warms it up.

Agreed. You gotta run through a few of them hoodrats and build up your night time skills. That way when you do find a good quality woman you won't totally suck and they'll be willing to stick around and become a companion. Sage advice from "The 40yr Old Virgin"... :)

I'm just teasing ya Daniel. My buddy is going through the same thing right now after his recent divorce. It's difficult to jump back into the game.

Something tells me Jayman isn't picky enough, at least not for my taste. Baaa. :p
