    Hi TP.

The difference is not in the bridge over the space, the difference is in the base. In the 2G Prius if you want to put "something" in that space, there is a big probability of that "something" falling into the driver space and get in the way of your feet and pedals. You have the center tunnel in that area.

On the new 3G Prius, you have a compartment with small walls around, so your objects won't fall or go astray. This is a big +.

I agree. I am liking this alot now. I have not found anything I do not like on the car yet. Oh, the nav is a bit strange in that it cuts out on some roads and you are not sure where you are supposed to go. Says it will be using back roads. My garmin seemed to be better for that but overall it is great.

Has anyone else figured out the nav yet? There is one book alone dedicted to it and planning on going to the beach tomorrow and start to read all the info, lots to plow through.

Did you go through the online tutorial? It can be more entertaining than reading a manual.

Does anyone have a pic of #3 below they can share? I've seen #1, and am wondering what it will look like w/ the sun/moon roof.

    Light Grey, no moonroof

    Black Disc, No Moonroof

Black Disc with Moonroof (the closest that I have). It appears that there is NO ambient lighting with the moonroof in addition to the loss of the overhead bin.

Edit: Upon further inspection and clarification, yes there is indeed ambient lighting with the moonroof package. There's still no overhead bin.

 I see lights and the sunglass holder. What ambient lighting and overhead bin are you referring too?

Lee (expecting birth of a Blizzard Pearl with sunroof soon!)

I see lights in #3, but no sunglass bin. You can get a bit of a better look by searching for:

    "2010 Toyota Prius: Moonroof Controls"

on youtube. (I can't post links yet)

The lights look a lot smaller in the video than in the photo to me though.

I'm expecting a Blizzard Pearl w/ sunroof soon too! ... or is it moonroof? hmmmm.....

I've got a moon roof on my Integra but the one on the Prius seems luxuriously large! Is that just an illusion created by the photo or is the moon roof as large as it seems? And the Blizzard Pearl is really starting to make me want to change from Barcelona Red.

Julie, that sticker is to reduce stone chipping in that area. It protects a part of the door which faces slightly to the front. Don't try to peel it off.

It's wide but not as long as a regular Toyota moonroof (or maybe it looks wide because it's not as long? lol)

Ambient lighting. You know, the small white LED that shines down onto the shifter. You're just talking about the personal (map) lights.

Overhead bin = sunglass holder. You see it open in the first two pics but not the last one.

I GOT IT! I GOT IT! I GOT IT!

Pics to come later. Finally was able to pick up my new 2010 this afternoon.

    2010 Prius V w/ Adv Tech Pkg.

It was delivered to the dealer with 10 miles. They added two to go fill up the tank.

I've driven it just over 5 miles to my office. (76.2 MPGs to start. It was in regular mode.)

Much more to come later. I'll start my own bragging thread(s) I suppose!!!!!!

My husband took a weekend trip to Chicago for a friend's 40th birthday party. While there he picked up a new 2010 Prius III, black, light gray interior. We were on all sorts of waiting lists here in Northern VA and Maryland, but they were all saying the earliest we could get anything was end of June. The car will be shipped here...should get here by Friday when my husband gets back from his business trip.

So, potentially the first 2010 in Northern Virginia! But, more importantly, an earlier replacement to his aging and sick 2000 Golf TDI.:cheer2:

He can't wait to get his after market leather seats, clear bra and Hymotion...wonder when all of these will become available for the 2010?

We just got back to Lebanon or. from a weekend in Spokane Wa. While we were there we saw a 2010 Blue (like yours) prius. Our 08 was still new and we did not need a new car but we made the fatal mistake of sitting in the new one. It is now ours. It was on their lot less than 12 hrs. They sold it twice while we were there but we were first and got it, the others had to place orders. Today we were at our dealer here and they told us about yours. I log on this afternoon and there you are, small world eh? We loved the 08 but it was hard on our backs. The 500 mile drive back from spokane was a breeze, no pain at all. Maybe it was just the lighter wallet. Enjoy your car and don't you just love that blue!!!!!!!!!!! Mike-n-Helen

That is too funny. Yes, I LOVE the car. I am really happy you got it. It was hard to find it in the beginning. Had to call every dealer on the west coast but worth it. Will honk if I see you :)
