Just on wheels....in Australia, our top model (I-tech) will come without a spare wheel. It will have a compressor and pressure can of sealant for punctures. Our base model will continue with the temporary spare. Do any of the US 2010 models delete the spare wheel as well?
So, does anyone know if the 17" Scion TC wheels will work with the Prius? I have a new set that I bought for my son's TC and thought I'd use tem for snow tires if the backspacing / offset is acceptable. Plus I like the looks of them.
Attached is a picture of my 2008 with a set of TC rims. These were takeoffs from a TC and were just put on without balancing. I am very happy with them. John
Yes, it's a common New York parallel parking accessory. It's intended mainly to prevent other people's front license plate screws from violating my Prius's butt: [imglink]http://priuschat.com/forums/attachments/newbie-forum/10528d1216394477-someone-hit-my-prius-017.jpg[/imglink] There ought to be a law requiring people to cover front license screws so they don't scratch other people's rear bumpers to death while parallel parking. Personally, I've attached to my front license plate screws little rubber bumpers from NoBump.com so I don't damage other people's rear bumpers while parallel parking. You can see them in this picture: [IMGLINK]http://priuschat.com/forums/attachments/gen-ii-prius-modifications/4718d1185170280-here-where-buy-side-moldings-bumper-guards-prius___with_bumper_guards___side_moldings_052.jpg[/IMGLINK]
Gadgetdad has the nice Touring Edition wheels, for which Chrome Wheel Skins are not available. But if he wanted to, he could remove the Touring Edition's full wheel covers, and add chrome center caps and chrome trim rings like metagray did to hers: PriusChat Forums - metagrey's Album: A Few Changes - Picture Flat Narrow Chrome Trim Rings Stylish Look, Great Prices, AutoAmenity
Boo, Nice find. I take it that the Prius is the vehicle in the center, with the Hummer H1 and H2 hybrids on either side. :brick:
1. I thought the BumperBullyDeluxe came with the Brooklyn Bridge. 2. Are those real armor piercing spikes or are they armor piercing spike covers? 3. Do they come in chrome?
Just called one of the local dealers for the price of the center caps: Item # 42602-47070 Price (ea) and special order: $74.76 They are nuts
Yes, they retail for around $15 and can be bought at discount for around $10.50 each: 2004 Toyota Prius Center cap - Parts.com Once in a while you can find a used set of 4 here or on eBay for less.
Hello everyone, just joined, first post, love the site. Now that's out of the way... I found this Konig "Within" at Discount Tire that's very similar to the 2010 stock. So it's kind of like driving around on a free upgraded Konig wheel, albeit a little smaller.
My caps arrived and popped right in. The shipping at $10.99 and the handling another $2 ... kinda ticks me off but it's done, they are installed, and the rims look complete now. FWIW, Jay
I think that the part number is actually 42603-52030 Congrats. Where did you end up getting the parts from and for how much?
I ordered from parts.com. Here's a copy of the invoice: Item: Wheels, Covers and trim, Center cap, Center cap Price: $10.48 Tax: $0.00 Qty: 4 Total: $41.92 ----------------------------- Items Total: $41.92 Shipping: $10.99 Handling Fee: $2.00 Order Total: $54.91
Ahhh, so that's where Jay must have ordered them too (same shipping and handling charges). Cheap. (considering).
