The funny thing is that the Prius' design seem to work well in incorporating the clear talilight assembly. Take a look at the 2010 Camry Hybrid's clear taillight assembly and it clearly (no pun intended) looks out of place.

Maybe, they'll make the car more visible -- especially driving around in a dark gray car in low light conditions. If that's the case, I'll make that trade-off anyday.

Nice looking with the 17" wheels - but $30K for a Prius?

$1200 more than my 2008 Touring stickered for ... in my opinion not too bad for getting better fuel economy, XM radio, bigger engine, 4 driving modes including EV, better seats and adjustments, telescoping steering wheel, bigger wheels, LED headlamps ...

Just a note on the photos - they are a bit over exposed (very bright sunlight!) so imagine a shade or two darker. And a nice metallic sheen. The overall effect is very nice. If you're tempted, best to check it out in person.

Re: Photo of gray and black cars

When considering this angle, makes me want to go with Blizzard Pearl b/c of how large and obtrusive the taillamps look on the darker color. On the past models I chose dark exterior colors partially b/c of how it make the taillamps stand out ... when considering white when I purchased my 2008, it just seemed like the lens blended into the rest of the body color too much ... thanks for posting this pic of the black!

Here's my Winter Gray Prius with 35% tint on front side windows and 20% around the back.

The gray looks darker in your pic than some of the others I have seen, very nice! Your tint looks awesome too. I wish front window tint wasn't illegal here, but I'm going to risk it anyway and see how long it takes before I get pulled over...

    I paid $30K for my 06 Package 8, without 17" wheels.

Yep - this photo is truer to the actual color then mine. I'd even say that the actual color is just a tad darker (from memory). Jstmike - what do you think?

Moner, did you have the tint done afterward or via dealer? How much and what brand/type?

Mine is quite dark as well. Could be confused with black in some light. Thanks for posting the photo Mike, I'm wondering what it would look like tinted. The tint is very practical here in SW FL.
