Some japanese magazine/book about 2010 prius! Didn't know the 3 gen prius has so many concepts until it reach its final stage. The HUD is look like this if it is not hide under the dash. This not related to the prius but I really have to show cause I found it interesting.... an "old school" navigation from Honda. Overall these magazine/book are very informative. Too bad I didn't know how to read Japanese.
hmmm... you have magazine article, i have a poster showing the different design concepts SIGNED by the Chief Engineer of the 2010 Prius project
hmmm... you have signed concepts, i have a 2004 Tideland Pearl 1:30 scale die-cast Prius SIGNED by the Chief Engineer of the 2010 Prius project And Yoshi brought some of the Japanese Prius magazines with him to Detroit. Including the one with the article highlighting himself.
mine's signed and I got him to personalize it with my name on it. =P Cool mags, ea! The concept next to the Initial Concept.... Prius wagon anyone?
well i will say the mag does illustrate other concepts like the Pri Wagon, the PriUV (Prius Utility Vehicle) and so on. would love a translation posted in a PDF...umm. ya, that would be REAL nice
Would love a Prius wagon. I'd also love the Prius in that periwinkle/light purplish blue color shown in the magazine. I had also seen photos of it from a Japanese car show. Wonder if it was a color only available in Japan.
That would be Iceberg Silver Mica Metallic. I had a lot of trouble translating that so you can thank Ken for the translation. So far, it seems like a Japan-only colour. Keep in mind that we might be the only place getting Sandy Beach Metallic. It certainly isn't available in Japan, neither is Winter Grey (but I believe that is available elsewhere in Europe and Australia)
In Australia, we get the normal White (as well as the White Pearl), but do not get your Sandy Beach Metallic. Our dark Gray is called Stealth. All other colours here are the same as the US range.
It's not unusual for an automaker to use its various design studios and basically pit them against each other to come up with the best design. Toyota has a design studio in Newport Beach, which has influenced many designs and has led some, too.
