Wait is almost over..2010 Prius on Dealer Daily

I feel like an expectant mother for crying out loud! It's driving me nuts that I can't have my car yet much less the fact by the sounds of it I am going to have to wait longer. I hate this. Get them here already!!

 

Because I'm in the Central Atlantic Region and they apparently haven't made the Dealer Daily yet, I am very nervous.

Yesterday my salesman called me and said he oped to find out when Toyota would start shipping them. next week. I probably should have told him they've already started. However, this dealership is the largest Toyota dealership in my county and they didn't even know the prices that Toyota announced in March.

I hope to get mine in lat June or early July. Wishful thinking I'm afraid, although we may have to consider one that isn't exactly what we ordered (IV with Roof). As it is we gave him a choice of 4 colors.

Are you on a waiting list ? If so,what #. I am still hoping for the first week of June. I hope I am not being to optimistic.

 

I am #5 on my dealership's waiting list, but because I requested a IV with Roof I imagine it will be 2 or 3 allocations (a salesman told me that) before I get mine. That's why I'm a little pessimistic.

Rich, Late June early July would seem to be around the right time. The waiting and not knowing is the worst! FRED

 

Saw that.. Also a new Venza billboard on the eastbound LIE just coming out of the tunnel. Toyota media blitz..

 

i just talked to a dealer in the Gulf Coast region (Houston, TX). He said late June is possible, but early July is more likely. To appease my appetite I'm going to test drive a '09 in the meantime (I drive an 2000 Avalon right now)

 

My dealer just told me my car doesn't yet show up in his allocations. I have the impression he can't see any other allocations of the 2010 Prius, but I didn't confirm that. Makes sense, since we still can't build the car using our Houston zipcodes.

Sappy saying though. "butterfly approved" ???

I'd rather it say "killer bee approved" or "ferocious lions endorsed this".

Butterfly? oh, all us prius drivers are so fluttery and pretty and delicate...

 

Float like a butterfly ,sting like a bee!!!!

 

Maybe have a picture of oil drills and young children working the fields sweating and then thanking people for buying prius cars so they can go to school instead.

You know...milk it for all its worth. cause if the earth and all its delicate species endorse the prius...why wouldn't sweat-shop, labor-abused children?

I guess I feel like Toyota already has the "we are green, we help save the earth" part down PAT. Can we instead emphasize LUXURY vehicle with NEWEST TECHOLOGY?!
I know other thread went into this but I just can't say it enough. Please help our husbands/brothers/fathers stop being made fun of for driving this car! We love it and we know the world will too! But butterfly approval won't help!
