I just saw a new Honda Insight that had signal mirrors & it had a sitcker price under 20 grand.

Take a look at Chryslers new incentives, any one who buys a Toyota has money to throw away.

After talking with Toyota corporate & my local Toyota dealership I have come to the conclusion that Toyota does not value their customers.

Toyota Prius sales for April 2009 down 61%
Toyota Prius sales for 2008-2009 down 50%

Keep up the good work Toyota you will end up just like Generous Motors.

Are we really going to rehash this yet again in its own dedicated thread? I think the first 3 threads served their purpose and all of us here understand how upset you are that Toyota is not including or making available side signal mirrors on the 2010 Prius.

Wow, incentives on Chryslers? Do they have a model that will get over 45 mpg and has the coveted signal mirrors?

    Agree.

I just hope that after taking delivery of my new Prius, I don't hit my forehead and say

"DANG it! I could have had a Chrysler V8!"

Yeah, it sucks, I hope toyota will do something about it. Maybe we should all write them a letter to make the signal mirrors an option for those of us who wants it.

Yeah... I was looking at the RX400h hybrid. I knew the 450h was coming out so I was hoping to get a deal on the '09 RXh. I went into the Toyota dealer just for fun to check out the Highlander Hybrid Limited and see whether it's worth the few grand savings over an older RXh. Then I heard about the Prius. It had a sticker of $29k for a mid-level well equipped version with a solar panel moonroof. The RX only had a regular moonroof.

Look at the incentives on the RX. Anyone who buys a Toyota must be throwing money away. How can the cheaper Prius come with solar panels and not the 6 year old RX? It's preposterous! Lexus always get the new technology first before it trickles down to a Toyota. Why should I even buy a Lexus any more. Toyota's shooting themselves in the foot...

in case you're wondering, I was being sarcastic.

Just be thankful Fiat bought out Chrysler otherwise Chrysler says will be down minus infinity percent

Yeah, they're not coming to the US... Europe and places where they're required. That's what started all this, that some places get them standard and others don't even get them as an option or accessory. It's getting kind of old already, some things we just have to accept and this signal mirror thing is one of em'...

You guys (in the US) do get the cheapest Prius prices in the world. So I'd quit moaning if I were you! :)

Well I think it would be nice if it was an option, but not sure how they would do that. I did test drive a Scion xD and I found the signal mirrors to be annoying. They were too bright and actually illuminated the inside of the car pretty well.
There was no adjustment possible, killed my night vision. It might have just been the size of the car, I don't know.

The signal mirrors will be available from the Prius shop, someone will come out with instructions to fit them, the USA will still have the cheapest Prius in the world even after you pay someone to fit the mirror covers so where is the big deal?
I'd say go get a Chrysler, you will get the car you deserve.

Just remember, the bitterness of poor quality will last the life of the vehicle while the sweetness of a cheap price will quickly fade.
