Is it easy enough to grab the entire thing or do you still have to get it by section search?

It's seperated by sections but each main section has detailed pages of information such as:

    General Information
    System Diagram
    Parts Location
    Details

I'm in... w00t. It does require IE and the antiquated (and no longer supported after 1/1/2009) Adobe SVG viewer.

Also shows pages in an HTML-ish format, no more PDF. I'll find a way though, I have till midnight tomorrow night to gather.

Looks like the maintenance schedule is also posted.

Drats. It doesn't like the I.E. 8 installed on my XP in Parallels on my Mac. "This site requires several web browser plug-in utilities to operate properly". Right. I'm not going to spend 20 minutes more on this just to get my $10 worth - I'd rather spend 2 minutes on an email asking for my money back. Really really annoying - especially given that it was the first interesting nugget to come out in a week about the 2010, since the pricing announcement.

Drats. I'll wait and see what you guys can tell me about what's locked up in there...

Oh - ya, I should mention this. After registering and logging in, the error message reads: "Please review the list below and follow each of the links to complete the necessary installations. Once you have all the required plug-in utilities installed, close your browser and log-in again." - but there is no list or plugins or any further information. IE 8, and the same on Firefox on Mac and Linux and Safari on Mac. Hope this helps the next sucker :)

IE8 works fine IF you have the SVG plugin installed and have permitted it to run.

    No love on Firefox.

I'm in the process of downloading and PDFing each NCF section right now so that I can go back for reference, etc. There's a TON of good stuff in there.

Biggest welcome surprise - Hydraulic Lash Adjusters.

Biggest hidden surprise - the power steering ECU can detect an overall system voltage drop, and if so, will command A/C and rear window defroster to stop consuming power while steering assist is provided. Talk about prioritization.

Disappointment - the steering systems between the early 15" and 17" are completely different, so the upgrade once the later 15" converts would be rather costly. Different steering ratios and different power steering motors.

Purely puzzled - Mexican spec cars get full sized 15" spares while US and Canada spec cars only get T-type temp spares.

    I'm still browsing though... ;-)

I was successful in downloading for the 2010 Prius:
    * Owner's Manual
    * NAV Owner's Manual
    * any available Accessory Installation Guides (applique, illuminated door sills)
    * Maintenance/Warranty Guide (yea, we still get 5000 mile oil change intervals)
    * New Car Features Guide (converted to PDF)
    * Most, if not all of the Electrical Wiring Diagrams (they're a bit harder to get at as you have to "print" w/ their navigator to trigger the PDF download, and the directory doesn't permit indexing)

Some of these documents do have typos or inaccurate translation.

Because of the lengthy process of printing each section to PDF, I elected not to download the repair manual or body repair manuals. The repair manual is very likely to change at this stage of the game, and for cases where I may need it, the $10-$15 investment to look up current information is trivial.

Rick, when putting in the illuminated door sills, is it pretty straight forward? What I mean is there a connector under the stock door sill once you pop it off and you just kind of plug these in and go (not in that many easy steps of course!)? Thanks

I'll jump in here since Rick is probably still downloading everything :)
The installation instructions are very good including detailed colored photos showing exactly where to plug in the power wire in the connector. I checked with my local dealer a few days ago with the part number for the kit ( PT922-47100 ) but they have no pricing information yet. Hopefully very soon as they looked very nice on 1 of the cars we saw at PCSF and I'll be ordering it as soon as it's available. Hope this helps.

To add to the last reply, they use T-splice connectors onto two wires on each side, presumably the door illumination wires. The sills, however, are pop-out, pop-in units in all 4 locations. Only the front two appear to be illuminated. I am surprised at the use of T-splice connectors, but if they'll warrant that type of intrusive install, I'm game.

Fortunately the VIP alarm is a bit less intrusive w/ either pin insertion or harness between a harness type installation.

Thanks to the both of ya' for the reply. Yeah, I think I'll have to spree for these as well.

If you happen to get a price from your dealership, or even once they get them in, please make a post here or send me a pm. I'm going to start getting on my dealer as well to get me a set. :) I too thought they were a neat thing when I saw that at the NYC Priority Event back in February.

Can Prius fans outside the US get hold of these materials?

    Thanks.

The techinfo.toyota.com website might not accept your credit card # if you are outside the US. In that case try the Toyota Europe site:

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately no owner manuals appear to be available. And yes the US site is only for people with US credit cards.

For UK users, see techdoc.toyota-europe.com. €16 (+VAT) for one day's access. ZVW30 NCF and repair manual are available.

If Prius Team are listening, I'd like to suggest that your repair manual business model is broken. Restricting access to the repair manuals and New Car Features is just stupid, it tempts mechanics not to refer to the service manual, and prevents enthusiasts from assisting with problems; absorb the cost of the programme in the cost of the vehicle and make the manuals available online, for free, in easily-downloadable form.
