I might be unusual but I could live with one of two colors, have to have leather and nav but am ambivalent about wheels vs sunroof so either level 4 with solar or 5 with nav. Given that, we're going to wait until there are a few on the lots and see what's available and what kind of deal we can negotiate. I always find that it makes it harder to negotiate if you aren't flexible.
Package 3 with solar roof, in blue ribbon w/ bisque interior. I'd like to add the autochrome mirror w/ Homelink and 3-door SKS as add-ons. Anyone know of a Dealership in Florida who has a clue about the 2010 Prius? The couple I've approached so far are in the "clueless" category.
Prius II if I can't get the 17" wheels on it. This will be my 1st Prius. I'll be trading my 2002 Passat. I can't wait to double my gas milage!
I agree. Why give up all your bargaining power by getting on a wait list? I don't plan to pay more than a few percent over the dealer's true cost, and I've got no problem waiting. That's not to say I won't try to buy earlier, but if the dealer has no incentive to meet my price, then time is on my side.
Plain old pack III, that's a good one, you'll get the JBL. Will you forego the backup camera in Nav option?
I would think Blue Ribbon is much like Spectra Blue. I don't think it looks bad when dirty, it just lets me know it needs cleaning. If you like the Blue best, get it. I have no regrets about my Spectra. ------------------------ btw, told ya'll 5 months ago this 2010 was going to be hot. COTY for sure.
I would like to have the camera but I can't get myself to pay $1800. I also would like the 3 door sks but can see spending $2800. I'm sure everybody who gets a 2010 will be very happy.
When I spoke with my local dealer, he had no idea how many 2010's he'll be getting, or how they will be configured. So, to me it seemed futile to have him put me on the list for, say, a Blizzard Pearl package 3 with gray interior and no options, since there's absolutely no indication that that such a car will be available. So, what gives? Are you all getting a different story from your dealers, or are you special ordering, or what?
My first Prius - my first Toyota - I'm number 15 on my dealer's list and I'm very excited! I've requested a Prius IV with Solar Roof in either Blizzard White or Winter Grey with either Silver Mist or Dark Grey leather (whichever combo shows up first). I've waited a number of years for this car - one I can feel good about driving and one that has all the girlie goodies I've come to love (like bum-warmers) - and I can drive topless - sort of - at least with the moonroof open! Thanks to everyone here - I've learned A LOT about the car (more than the sales guy knew, for sure!) and you keep me enthusiatic about my decision!
Do we have any idea what invoice is yet for the 2010? Or a timeline of when we will know? This is only my 2nd new car and I wasn't sure how long it takes to realize this. I'm trying to figure out what would be a "good" price for a Prius III with Solar Roof Package. I know it's been discussed a lot (re: new car, bad economy, etc.) but wanted an idea if $1,000 off MSRP was good or not. Thanks! -Dan
I'm looking to try to make it this summer, family and work schedule allowing. It's quite a haul from AZ.
First Prius for me also. Prius IV Navigation Package Grey Exterior Either interior that comes with grey exterior I'm #94 on the wait list at Longo Toyota in Southern California.
Woooo Hoooo. I'm so pumped for this car. I'm pretty set on a Prius IV in Winter Grey Metallic with solar roof. If not solar roof then at least Nav. Solar's not an essential but living in Florida the cabin ambient cooler would be nice in the summer.
I ordered mid-February: IV, silver, light grey leather, NAV package. Seems silly to get the moon roof--not too sunny here at Coastal Oregon. This will be my first Toyota, unless you count two Lexus LS 400s. Might miss the big luxury.
I'm planning on the III, Nav package, Winter Gray Metallic. I would be #16 on the list if I ordered today, but I'm second guessing myself after reading some of the messages in this thread.
