My wife is at her wit's ends with her current car. She's looking at getting a new one. Preferably a hybrid one.

With the 2010s coming out, what kind of haggling do you all think I could get away with on a 2009 HyCam?

You should be able to get $2000 off the invoice, not MSRP, including the Toyota rebate.

Not many cars are selling right now, but I bet she could get a great deal on a Buick. ;)

Because I didn't want this thread to turn into a GM bashing thread, I intentionally left out that she's currently driving a Buick Regal. And I will say that it's a very nice car. My Regal got me past 100k miles and gave very little troubles. Her's is starting to give her problems but we can't decide whether it's the car or the dealer who attempts the repairs.

I remembered that. That's why I made the smart nice person reply. :D

I think you should be able to get a good deal on virtually any car given the current economy.

I just got a 2009 Camry Hybrid last Friday for more than 2k under invoice.I absolutely love the car. I was looking at the Ford Fusion too, but the Camry Hybrid felt much sturdier.

Should be able to get a good deal. They're offering $2,000 off a TCH or Prius in Canada plus low financing (I want to say 0.9% but I'm not too sure). Either way, that's the first time I've seen ANY discount for the TCH or the Prius.

I presume the deals will be sweeter in the US.

Thanks. I have to say that I loved my Prius. But, I drive around 150 miles a day and this 6'3" body was having a tough time not stretching out during the drive. The Camry on the other hand, Is soooo roomy. Only had it 6 days and I already love it. Also, I'm getting close to 40 mpg combined city and highway, which isn't too bad either.

FYI, there are minor changes to 2010 model (e.g., USB interface). Still can't get detailed info from Toyota website, even though already being sold.

    In Canada, the additions are:

foglights, USB Integration, One-Touch Power Windows, Silver-Accented Centre Console (previously, it was that ice-blue effect).
