Mossy Toyota San Diego Ca I'm just unhappy because they scammed for 700$$ with the stupid Karr alarm system telling me that package 6 doesn't come with a factory alarm
does anyone know about the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009? does anyone know if the tax paid regardless of state is considered a deduction?
I found this thru a web search. I was trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal on a #1226 touring with package 5, in the color I want. The best quote I've gotten is $26,000 excluding the fair value they are giving me for my trade, and the dealer is throwing in trunk and floor mats, a bumper guard and mud flaps. Thanks!
Can you share your OTD price not considering any trade you had? I may drive out to Brandon if it's much better than my central Tampa quotes, thanks.
Thanks. I am waiting to see if that same dealer faxes me a PO tomorrow for a price very close to the one you got, except I am a cash plus trade-in buyer. Another dealer told me that the dealer will back out of that price because "it's impossible." I did have a little weirdness there today. I told them I wanted a touring, the saleman confirmed he understood, then he showed me a #1224, then he corrected himself but wrote #1224 on the card he gave me; when I called and pointed that out he said don't worry, he just "miswrote" the number. But then his boss called and suggested the #1224 is what was quoted... The boss was supposedly going to talk to the salesman and get back to me.
MBA Mom: When I purchased, Courtesy did not have many touring packages but they had a lot of standard package 6's, in almost all the colors. I did not trade a car, so they were not able to use a trade-in to play with the numbers. For the best deal, sell your car and make a cash offer. My salesman was very nice but was not well versed on the Prius. Good luck on negotiating.
As Stadium Toyota predicted, after getting me to drive to Brandon by stating they had and would sell me a #1226 with package 6 for approx. $25,000 out the door ($20 after my trade), Courtesy tried to sell me the #1224 as 'just the same, then stated they would stick to their quote, but the promised purchase order I could give to my credit union was never sent, and now they won't return my call. I would never buy from them after this attempted bait and switch experience.
Courtesy's offer turned out to be a bait and switch. They said they would honor the salesman's quote, but the promised purchase order was never sent, and now, the salesman won't return my call. I would not buy a car from them ever, after this experience.
$28300 out the door for a 2009 Touring package 6 with matts. They met the low baller half way who probably did not have the unit anyway.
i was looking on ebay and a dealer in kansas city has a new pkg 6 for only $24,444 with destination and pkg 5 for $23,543 with destination. eBay Motors: Toyota : Prius (item 300309706852 end time Apr-28-09 20:10:25 PDT) eBay Motors: Toyota : Prius (item 300309708676 end time Apr-28-09 20:21:49 PDT)
I just got a 2009 Prius Touring w/ pkg 6 for ~$26,800 (out the door price) from Merced Toyota in addition to excellent customer service from the internet manager.
My price included sales tax, tags and all fees of any kind. If you got a 2009 touring with leather Package 6 for 26,800 drive off the lot, that is the deal of the century.
I have seen similar pricing but am thinking I should wait and see if the 2010 differences make a 2010 with a lesser package of extras, a better ride, per engine, drivers seat and brake improvements among others.
2009 Pkg. 2 cost $22,588 - out the door was around 25k with outrageous CA 9.25% sales tax. Also got toyota financial 2.9% financing for 48 months so an extra $1200 on the note. That was about a month ago Im sure they are cheaper now...
2009 Touring, Grey, Package 3, mats, XM radio with installation, Toyoguard package, taxes, fees, etc. OTD $27,000.
I was just quoted a price of 21,895 for a 2009 package #5 is this about the going rate right now? does not include freight, proc, tax, tag (around 23,800 otd)
That's about right. I'm getting quoted just a shadeover the Edmunds invoice price right now on the 2009s before taxes and fees. (remember $750 or so destination as well) 2009 Toyota Prius optional equipment at Edmunds You should also be getting a $1000, rebate or 0% financing offer as well.
Just to clarify, you are getting quotes for just over 2009 Edmonds invoice price, regardless of Option package (#5 or 6?). I've been shopping around in the Bay Area in California and the dealers haven't really budged at all. Latest quote: #6 for $25,515. What's up with that? According to the websites, there are dealers with 60 or 70 Priuses on the lot! Do I wait for the 2010 to arrive?
accordingly, The Edmunds numbers do not seem to be adding up. I took the Edmunds invoice minus the 750 minus the 1000 but my price quote is still about a 1000 under invoice. It looks more like the rebate/discount being offered here is $2000.
