Okay dawtips and Wine, I will go in on the 22nd and tell them there are 4 of us and we want the 2010s and what kind of deal are we talking? You never know!! LOL
I think Doug will be busy until the very last PC member gets their new Prius! Doug is doing everything, except chartering a boat himself, to get your Prius to you as soon as possible. A special part of being on the Prius Team means that I too know pricing and when it will be announced but like Doug, I will let you all guess for now. As you know, production begins next week, so we're getting closer to launch and your Prius will be here shortly! Erica
Hi Erica, You and the Team are doing a terrific job! Do you have a web cam and feed for buyers to view progress of their car being assembled? I'm sure people like Fred would really appreciate that Thanks for all your contribution / feedback on this forum
My wife and I were one of the first in the US to receive a MINI Cooper S. I was so exited I tracked it coming to the port in NY. I found a web cam on top of the empire state building and watched the ship pull into port and unload. :cheer2: Call me crazy...or what.
Gabe, How about a web cam at the factory? Wouldn't that be cool watching your car being built!!!!!!! FRED:cheer2:
no it wouldnt. new info if important enough only takes a few minutes to be posted. a few hours to spread to a significant number of people. trust me... if the pricing was announced at 5 pm... it will make the 6 o'clock news with plenty of time to spare
Newspapers haven't been a timely way of getting information since radio/broadcast news was invented. The arrival of the internet allowed even more real-time info, and more of it. I wouldn't expect Toyota to make pricing release decisions around paper media. Otherwise, they would have to announce a month early so the auto magazines could have the same data around Earth Day - and that just wouldn't make sense!
Hi Erica and Prius Team, Appreciated to see the latest information up to date. It looks production has been started already. http://priuschat.com/forums/2010-to...ese-2010-prius-information-10.html#post831235 Ken@Japan
Newspapers? Are any of your local papers profitable? I mean the ones that haven't already shut down. --------------------------- **** Seattle Post-Intelligencer **** Last Dead Tree Edition, March 17, 2009 ****
Well, everything you see in those photos can be sold, but internal to Toyota, we call those vehicles "quality check vehicles"... they go through a special process to make sure everything is up to snuff. As for the OFFICIAL PRODUCTION START... well, we're just a few hours away. It begins Apr 21 Japan time. Hooray! Doug Coleman Prius Product Manager Toyota Motor Sales, USA
It looks the web site owner changed the picture permission flag. I replaced it with another picture link. Ken@Japan
