If power seats and mirrors are a weight issue, why don't they do a give and take? One example: Add power seats and mirrors and replace the full size spare with a donut or collapsable?

Yup, top models have radios with hard disk drive inside. There is a small mini-usb port right on top of the CD slot for you to upload music into the hard drive.

Because we already have a compact spare tyre.

    :Cry::caked:

Guess that's one reason your prices are higher. I wonder how much faster an HDD is over a DVD and the other advantages/disadvantages. The Chief was surprised that we got a DVD-based system instead of HDD because that was his answer (HDD) when someone posed the question "Is the nav DVD or HDD based?"

    Yup.

Honda would change the leather gaiter to a mesh one to save 90g on an NSX Type R.

We could, but she is a little wider through the hips, and I have a bigger chest. Not cup size, mind you, but bigger around. :D

Well, he was right anyway. Navigation is still DVD based, but the contents of the DVD are copied to the HDD in the first run. It seems the HDD has 10GB of space reserved for music and 30 GB for navigation. That's a lot of NAV info there... I wonder if I did get the numbers wrong... it would make more sense to be the other way around...

    I absolutely agree!

We in Europe don't make huge trips interstate wise, and sleeping on the wheel is a rare phenomena. I don't really see much benifict on the LKA now that I think of it.

Between LKA and the rain and light sensor for auto headlights, I think Toyota Europe made the right choice.

I'm VERY VERY glad Toyota has finally come into sense and this Prius 2010 has all the little details that we missed in our 2006.

Congratulations for Toyota-Europe and their chosen equipment!!! :cheer2:

Now let's hope Toyota Spain doesn't screw it up with some weird packages with things like "if you want A you can't get B, and if you take C you have to get D"

In case some Toyota Spain manager is reading this, I want all the tech goodies (HUD, rain&light sensors, auto-dimming mirror, solar panel, ACC, IPA, Navi, HDD, Bluetooth...) plus moonroof with optional leather and 17" wheels. Am I asking too much? :D

Yeah, it seems you'll have to quit either the 17" wheels or the solar roof.

I've heard that Toyota Spain had fairly normal feature combinations, except in Catalonia. Oh, wait a minute... :D;):)

No problem. 17" and leather are not in my "must have" lists. Well, to be honest leather is in my "not to have" list :) But then I won't get heated seats, si I'll miss the buttons! :D

I've heard here in Catalonia we'll have a "fully loaded plus all the accessories" version for just 20.000€, labeled "Marc's edition" :D

10GB sounds right for music and 30GB for navigation. It's the same ratio for Infiniti and Lexus.

Guess you guys get a lot more detailed maps.

We get 7 nav DVDs for Europe to cover it all up. How many DVDs do you get for USA and Canada?

    GLUP!

We also had 1 only for Europe, I still have 1 only, but from 2 years ago they decided to swap for 7 discs. I know that because some friends have ordered the upgrade and got 7 discs back.

New Prius being sold now also come with 7 discs. Don't ask me how on earth did they jump from 1 single disk to 7 disks... probably they added some real 3D birds-eye imagery or something LoL :D

Included some new-found countries? Didn't realise you guys were still exploring =P. hahaha

I don't know. You guys tend to be way ahead in navigation technology so yeah maybe you have more details (like 3D buildings) or sth like that.
