I will problably be fine but I would like to be absolutly sure, you know they cost a bit to much just to test if they fit...
I have sent an E-mail to Hub cap Mike, lets see what he thinks about this.

Yes they are, in the thumbnail I thought that was my car. Now all you need is a rear bumper scuff guard, side mouldings, shark fin, and a scan gauge along side the GPS and phone cradles next to the MFD. Then leave it unwashed for a fortnight.

Then there is the evolvefish and priuschat stickers and the left front hubcap dings my wife kindly installed when I went to Perth and to the US. She loves bumping gutters. She also WONT be driving MY Prius again.

I believe the hubcaps create more drag. I think they stick out and cause air to move in toward the back of the tyre creating turbulence. I want to have 4 flat stainless disks made to replace the domes or I might use plastic chrome disks if I can find someone to make them at a reasonable cost. I'll need to make holes for the valves though.

Funny, I've got dings on the right rear hubcap. Should I move my disks to match yours, or do you want to swap yours around? :)

I doubt the drag differential is measurable without a wind tunnel, and there are way too many variables to do a controlled test. I did it for the looks, and have not kept track of the mileage.

Funny. My wifed dinged my front left one too. I promptly moved it to the right rear wheel so I don't have to see it as often... :)

I left the banged up one on the front left, the front left is the one she chooses to hit the gutters with. Remember we drive on the correct side of the road here, the left. I need to borrow her car tomorrow, god I hope there are no new dents when I get home.

I achieved a 4.0L/100km tank before I put the hubcaps on but since my best has been 4.1L/100km. Now that might be the hubcaps or it might be me, who knows?

Of course the moon dome on the front left now matches my front left door thanks to a feral bitch with no licence and no insurance who reversed into it.

Btw: I've just received the replacement hubcap I ordered from:
    Spun Aluminum Disc Wheel Covers

Pretty much exactly the same as the ones sold by hubcapmike (they don't have stamped mooneyes logo on the edges though). Except they're CHEAP and they seem like a great value.

15$ each as opposed to 38$ each. Even the shipping is very affordable.

Mate I have the best car insurance there is in Australia. I'm with RAA Insurance and provided she didn't give me a false name I shouldn't have to pay a cent. If she gave me a false name I have to pay $300 toward the repair. I am taking the car to the best repairer in Adelaide, a Lexus and BMW approved repairer but because he is so good I have a 5 or 6 week wait for the repairs to start. That is Des Higgins Motor Bodies, comes highly recommended!

I'd love to add these to my 2012 but it didn't come with trim rings, just the stock hubcaps. Do any of you know if aftermarket trim rings are available that will work with Prius 15" rims?

    Thanks in advance :)

I would think, if the hubcap goes all the way to outer edge of wheels, you could bolt/rivet the dome to the stock hubcab. Basically like the OPs method on the trim ring. I have been searching for weeks to a method of installing these on the stock wheel stupendous finally found this 15 year old thread. I hope to see it revived and chatting to commence!
