Hey, clifford (or anybody else trying to get a quote from Troy), Troy does usually respond within 24 to 48 hours with a quote, but some have complained that they never get any response. Troy keeps records of his replies & has suggested that his e-mail quotes may be trapped by some spam filters, so he suggests that everybody waiting for an e-mail quote check their spambox/trashbox/bulkbox (or whatever else it may be called) in case it gets trapped there instead of going right into your inbox. You'll get a great deal from him on the extended warranty & you'll like doing business with him. Don't forget to mention PriusChat to Troy so Danny gets some funds to help defray the costs of keeping this site alive. Ken (in Bolton,Ct)

I have a 2007 Prius with 34,000 miles and I am thinking of buying a 6 year/100K mile extended warranty. I have two questions. Can someone tell me what is the guarantee on the batteries and second where is the best place to buy this warranty? I reside in Southern Ca. Thanks, Fred
1. You're in California, so your hybrid traction battery is warrantied for 10 years/150,000 miles. 2. Troy/WarrantyShack/Toyota of Greenfield is the best place to buy the various Toyota extended warranties. With 34,000 miles on your car, you'd better act fast (before it hits 36,000 miles.) See above contact info for Troy.
Thanks guys, I did finally, I think, get one of the email addresses to go through. Actually I had bought a Prius warranty from him and I am hoping he can help with a lexus hybrid warranty. Thanks again
HI I just bought a 2007 Prius/Pac6 with 23K Miles and had 2 Warranty Questions 1- Is Troy's Warranty similar to the 4 Options Toyota Sells Platinum Full Coverage including ALL Electronics with a 7Year/75K or 7 Year/100K Option or the the Gold Coverage Not Including Electronics 7Year/75 or 7 Year/100k 2-When I called Toyota Extended Warranty department, they had no knowledge of Warranty Shack. Is Troy Rebadging the Toyota Extended Warranty or just reselling the Toyota Warranty at a deeper discount than most dealers ? Thanks
Troy is a representative for WarrantyShack/Toyota of Greenfield, MA, an authorized Toyota dealer. Troy's warranties are Toyota warranties. He's not rebadging them, whatever that means. He's just selling them at a deep discount, e.g., $1055 for Toyota's best and longest extended warranty - Toyota Extra Care Platinum Plan 7 years/100,000 miles/$0 deductible.
Tom, Thanks for that precise info as now I can pull the trigger Most Stealers are trying to get full list of $1500 for a Platinum/100k By the way as a new owner 2007, Can you point me to any threads on the Triple Tred Tires and why they are better than Goodyears that come with the car Greg
Hi Greg, Actually the list price for the Extra Care Platinum Plan 7 years/100,000 miles/$0 deductible is now $1850: Toyota Financial Services My dealer tried to sell it to me for $2500, claiming that his cost was $1900! Anyways, contact Troy if you're interested and to confirm exactly what's required to get the extended warranty and to ask any other questions you may have. I've posted all of Troy's contact info above. * * * * * * * * Regarding the TripleTreds and other upgrades of the OEM Integrities: 1.
